I'd buy a gunmetal one...but ONLY if the top and bottom parts are done to match!

DITTO ^^^^^^^^

If they do one in Purple, I'm in. The gold is nice, but not what I really want.

Well susie, there goes our wish out the window for a deep, metallic purple :( I need to find a custom painter for us! BUT...I always said if I couldn't get deep purple, I'd LOVE gunmetal. If done right, that would look awesome.

I'm not familiar w/Zenkote finishes, but if it has flecks of metallic in it, I'm waiting to buy when it's launched.

ZenKote looks to me to be similar to other PVD type finishes. I know my Steamboy atty has a titanium PVD finish, and it's n awesome finish, most like a tinted lacquer look. Their gold version of atty I also a PVD finish. My favorite, though has to be the TiNC finish. Think do a deep, aged, natural brownish bronze/amber

Look for the PBusardo "Fireside chat with Zen" video for more info on ZenKote. Zen actually puts a ZenKoted part in a lathe and shows what kind of abuse is necessary to damage the finish. This stuff is seriously scratch resistant.

I can't see myself with the Gold, although it's nice looking, but I'll immediately jump on a Gunmetal, or either of the Blues if they ever release them.

My understanding is that it's semi-transparent, so the underlying stainless gives it a metallic look.

I've been thinking of that ever since I got my first Provari in September! If you do it, please post pics!!!
See the post below...no bluing for me. I do plan on engraving my V1 Provari, as the ProVari logo has all but disappeared.
I like this logo better:

Unless things have changed, a few years ago when I looked into bluing, all of the kits said not to use on stainless.

I am still working on this. Local vape shop does heat treating (did my Nemesis), powder coating, and Cerakote, but not what I want. Car paint is the next thing I will look into when I get the time.

yah, so its available in new colors. how is this going to affect how it vapes. same ole same ole

You say that like it's a bad thing. I'm still perfectly happy with the vape of a Provari, I'd just like a little styling update. I was hoping for more than new finishes, but at least they're really good finishes.

Spotted this yesterday...
A heat-treated ProVari. With the right topper, and maybe a V1, you could get an almost steampunkvari look...

the owner's still stuck in New Members...

I've seen some very well done heat treatments. That isn't well done. I'll give it kudos for the "cool" factor though.

I think in the fire side chat with Pbusardo Zen mentioned that it costs the same to run the process with one part in the Zencote oven thingy or 4,000. I seem to remember him saying that Gold was the easiest to get consistent color on all pieces in the batch. The hardest colors to get to come out consistent were blue (hardest) then gunmetal.

I would buy a Zencoat gunmetal Provari. I will not be buying a gold one.

My understanding is that the Sapphire and Carpathian Blue are problematic from a manufacturing standpoint. I doubt that these colors will be available on Provaris and from my recollection may not be manufactured anymore for Zens. Really a shame, because the colors look fantastic. I am fond of the Rose Gold and Gunmetal too though. The more I think about it, the more I want a Gunmetal ZenKote Provari!

Must have the blues damgit!! What is it with this vaping scene, I like vanilla, but !ost of it sucks. I like chocolate, nope. I like blue? Awww, too bad. Sigh.
