Provari-looking for some advice

I am a noob so please forgive any stupid questions

I am seriously considering pre-ordering the Provari (next day or two) ProVari Variable Voltage, variable voltage electronic cigarette by Provape. I want a nice looking variable voltage mod and this device seems to fit the bill, nice size, great safety features, cosmetics, etc. I would like to ask this forum for some feedback on a few questions.

1. It's new, is this manufacturer known for proper testing and QA?
2. Is Variable voltage "all that, and a bag of chips"?
3. How long can I expect batteries to last at high voltage (rough guess). Should I bring extra batts to work with me?
4. What is the benefit of high voltage juice (with high Volt PV), and is High Voltage 5V or 6V? I guess I am not sure what high voltage juice is all about (noob question )
5. If I order in the next day or two, what are the chances it will be here by Xmas?
6. Note: Any advice, tips, guidance, will be much appreciated.

IMO, yes.

It saves looking for the right combination of Voltage and ohms in various atomizers.

Obviously, you'll use more battery on higher settings. Always a good idea to take an extra batt with you when you're out.

High voltage juice or 'doublers' is to add extra flavoring since high wattage tends to reduce some flavors.

No idea. Ask the vendor that question.

The main things with variables is to get use the setting that gets the best take on the flavor you're using. In general - the stronger flavors will respond to more voltage and the lighter flavors taste best on the lower settings. You may have to experiment to find out what is the best ohms for attys or cartos. I'd start with something rated around 3 ohms to start and go from there. Although even 3ohms could burn out on the highest setting. You'll find that your 'default' will likely be between 4.2 and 4.8 volts approximately. ymmv of course.

Kent has ably answered your questions. I just want to give testimony related your first question. I happen to own the ProVape-1 (for several months now). It is excellent: very sturdy, reliable, hits each and every time, and it looks and performs the same now as the day I first received it. [I'm not saying that other mods are not equally good. From what I've read, many are. I just don't own them.]

The ProVape-1 is, perhaps, not the most beautiful PV (I feel the same way about photos of the ProVari), but that is in the eye of the beholder.

I also have an observation concerning your second question: A variable voltage mod lets you use any atomizer at any resistance at whatever intensity (i.e., watts) you want. For example, I had to stop using one of my favorite atomizers, the Joye 302 (penstyle), because I became spoiled by LR (specifically 2 ohms on a 3.7V battery or ~7 watts). There is no 2 ohm version of the Joye 302. [HealthCabin carries a 1.5 ohm version: a bit too intense for me.] If I had a variable voltage mod, I could tune a regular 302 atty to just the way I want it.
