Provari mini 2.5 battery question

So I will be receiving my first Provari tomorrow (yay me!) from Navy4Life on EFC (cool guy). I have a question about battery configuration, mainly adding tatroe rings. I plan to buy them either way just so that I have the flexibility to run 18650's if I ever plan to be out for an extended period of time. My question is, if I already have the extended cap, can I use just one tatroe ring to get to 18650 or do I need to use 2 rings with the standard cap?

You will just need the 1 extender ring and the extender cap for the mini to fit the 18650.

You would need to purchase an extra ring (for total of 2 rings) in order to use the 18650 with the Tatroe base.

I have two complete Tatroe base/extension sleeve sets.


Mini with just the Tatroe base on. (18350 battery)


Mini with the base and one extension ring. (18490 battery)


Mini with the base and two extension rings. (18650 battery)

2 rings plus standard cap for make the mini work with an 18650. They sell ring separately.Get one set and one more ring.
