First time poster, long time reader... Been vaping for a few years now. Started out with the regular Bloogs and then got a 650 when they first came out. It's ok, but I find it inconsistent (even between hits). I usually only vape RY4. So I'm looking to step up to a Provari Mini. I've read a few hundred threads on here, but since this is my first mod, want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Does this sound like a good order? I know a lot of it is personal preference / trial & error - just want to make sure I'm not making any huge mistakes. Provari Mini with 2 extra 18350 batteries (may eventually step up to the extender + larger batteries), 2 of the IBT 19 mm XL tanks, couple packs of the smok 3.2 ohm cartos from IBtanked, ProRing from Bomb Vapor and a Nitecore I4 Charger from Amazon. Also, any recommendations for a good pouch for a mini? Not necessarily a lanyard or anything, just something to slip in into to put in my pocket since I usually have my phone / keys or something in there as well & don't want it all scratched up. Thanks...

You managed to get the Proring? Dam, I have been looking for one but they seem to be sold out everywhere in the US. I'm between moving so I can't wait for overseas shipping at the moment. My Provari mini should be showing up today.

I already have the AW 18350 batteries, and am currently using a nitecore i4 (and i2) works fine, and they charge super quick, like a bit over an hour. For a good pouch, they have one the provape site. I was going to use one of the standard ego soft cases but it's too large for the pocket.

I haven't ordered yet - waiting to make sure I did it right. Maybe I'll have to wait on the ProRing. No big deal if I do. Thought about getting the pouch on the Provape site & removing the lanyard part, thought I have heard that it's too long for a Mini.

I'm in my third day on ProVari and indeed in my third day off ciggies. What I have learned is, battery battery battery. I have the 18350 battery but have used the 18490 exclusively. They hold out for the better part of the day, just barely, where the smaller battery may not for a newbie who is tending to near constant vaping and tinkering. I also begin to realize the benefit of the pass thru which I passed up on my first order.

I would suggest reading up on li-on or Li-Mn batteries. Your order looks good, as far as being able to get your provari working when you get it. Again, Li-Mn batteries are safer, but you should develop a healthy respect for them, like not charging them unattended or not using them right after they are charged.

I considered that. But I figured it this way: I'd probably have to swap the big battery toward the end of the day anyway so I'd go through two no matter what size. This way, I get the smaller unit. Right now, I swap my 650's out when I get home from work and then before I leave in the morning. Time will tell, but that's my rationale for not going with the extender and larger battery. It's got to be better than the original Bloogs - there were times I'd go through 3 or 4 batteries (especially as they aged) in a day.

Nothing jumps out at me although I would go with a bigger battery and end cap but that's just personal preference. As for a pouch...a lot of folks use flashlight holsters to carry them around in. You'll just have to hunt around for one the right size. Another option is Serenity Gear (leather holsters) but they aren't currently taken orders as they are backed up quite a bit. Finally there is www.jwraps.com if you don't mind covering up your mini.

That is - pretty much - what I went with on my first Provari purchase, although I opted for the 18490 batteries and extender cap. I do have the IBTanked tanks (mine are 22mm), but I generally roll with the Protank out and about. It sets flush tight with the Provari and just *seems* more durable. The IBTanks on mine, using a flanged cartos, don't sit flush tight so they are at-home use only (plus, I generally don't need that much juice throughout the day at work).

I thought about the Protanks - partly because I can get them from Provape at the same time. Maybe I'll start with those, see how I like them and then see how the reviews are on the ProTank 2 that is coming out soon. Even though I've been vaping for probably 3+ years, it's only been about 5 months since I started doing it full time / no analogs. I guess that's made me a little pickier & ready to step up. Used to be like if I was in a non-smoking place I'd vape most of the time & then occasionally go outside for a real one. Doing it full time I'm looking for a little more reliability than what I've got now. Couple times I've been tempted to go back and that bothers me.

*And thanks to everyone for not pointing out my misspelling of 'critique' (kinda funny when you think about it). For some reason, spell check didn't pick it up.

FIFY. Most times, misspellings sort of crack me up too. :D

Your order looks good!

For a portable case you can always go with a knife holder from a sporting goods store, they have sturdy clips and will hold a mod with no issue. I bought one from Dicks for my Vamo/SVD and its working out pretty well
I'm not sure I'd want to see the knife that goes into a holder that fits a Vamo/SVD. ...but, it's a cool, out-of-the-box idea!
