Vivi Nova is a great option when out or at work, that's my daily use of my V2 when outside of the house. For rebuildables a DiD clone or better AGA-T is good for starters. You can get the from Clouds of Vapor or Discount Vapors. I find the AGA-T is easier to work with but heavier than DiD clone if that helps. I also prefer a clear tank to see fluid inside tank. I have pics in my profile if you want to compare the two.
I tried the mini vivi nova after I got tied of dripping in a RBA, but for me I found the flavor lacking. Clearomizers seem a bit better. Gota Lil Momma tank for Christmas pretty good stuff!
I really love my Vivi Novas and I can't say that I feel like I'm missing out on anything. Before you completely pan them, make sure that you're using the most recent version. The older ones have the air hole on the side of the bottom cover like in the attached image. The new ones have the air hole on the 510 connector post just above the threading. I understand that the previous versions were almost universally despised, but the new ones have quite a large following. Of course, YMMV.
I wasn't planning on getting into RBA's this soon but found an Aga T for 19 bucks with a SS drip tip thrown in, couldn't resist. I was getting a little frustrated with clearos and the vivi nova mini- just not producing a consistent quality vape. So I tied my first coil last pm (with the little kit that came with) and attached the Aga T to my new Provari Mini. No shorts and it checked out a 2.0 ohms. Once I got the silica wick saturated, and the mechanics of vaping with a genesis style atomizer down, the vape was amazing. And the thing is its been 24 hours and its still vaping great.
I haven't found that consistency with clearos or the vivi nova. Fresh out of the box they're fine, The vivi nova was actually great. I'm finding that the replaceable head clearos need alot of maintenance and probably some modifications to keep them consistent. For now I'm sticking with CE5's and vivi nova but definitely glad I have the Aga T.
I have Kanthal wire, silica, SS and cotton wicks in the mail. This new hobby is great!
if you are serious about RBA's ? the AGA_T is just as good as any 150 atty out there, you may have to do some adjustment to get the air hole to line up ,but that is a 5 dollar sheet of wet-sand fix
the AGA-T v2 will have rubber o-rings so the air hole line up will not be an issue
Didn't see that anyone mention this but a lot of people, myself included, get the best flavor out of a cartomizer. IMO, a boge or smoketech dual coil puts out the best flavor of anything, including my RBA, Genny and clearomizers.
I hate to say it, but I don't think you going to get "better" flavor out of RBA than you will a cartomizer.

I've been playing around with my ProVari also. I was a little disappointed at first too, as I wasnt getting full flavor.
So I'm playing around with this, and CURRENTLY, I have mine set at 4.8, where as, when I had my Ego C-Twist, i was at 4.0
Good luck!!! I only get sooo annoyed when that darn E2 or E1 errror pops up.
Yuck. but glad to see im not alone
I have not, I've heard quite a bit about them however. Very interesting design and I will be ordering some up sooner or later, just speaking from what I know.
I may be having buyers remorse. I just got into vaping and I started with ego Twist with some Kanger Carts. I loved this setup and though I needed to step up my game. So I combed over so many e-cig forums and visited some brick and morter places here in so.cal.
I really liked the size and feel of the Provari mini...and bit the bullet. Currently I have a Vision Viva Nova STV tank with a 2.4ohm atomizer vaping at 4.0-.3V. I get good vapes, but taste not as good as on the Carts. I am soooo wanting to get rba (Genesis/Phoenix/Cobra)...but paying 150plus will my vaping expectations be met?....I still luv egoTwist with Cart...Provari mini with Viva Nova Tank growing on me though, but flavor just not there....
I am feeling same as you,i stepped up a notch and added the same tank to my ego c batt and the taste is not as good as good as with the stock tank, like its a muted taste. The vapour seems to be a better tho,im thinking when i get the Vamo all this will change as i will be able to adjust settings to and change atty heads to get more flavour and even more plumes of vapour.

Before you invest in a tank and all the accessories to make it work well (carto punch, slap your momma tool or clone equivelent, etc.) you might consider just trying some of the cartos. They cost a couple of dollars at most and you'll quickly find out if cartos are the way you want to go and what brand you prefer. Also decide if you like the xl or regular length cartos best and buy the correct size tank.
