The Tatroe base doesn't seem to fit. Are they just for the Provari full size ? It's close but no provar....

Thanks . I'll give it a try . If it wasn't for just getting the Mini a day earlier than I expected it might be a little bit of a buzz kill.

Cigtechs is based out of Illinois and Tatroes are American made, so it's not like ordering from Fasttech.

Are you sure you got the one for ProVari? They also make one for Evic. Maybe they sent the incorrect one.

It happens .... I think the champher may be a bit too wide so it's not threading .
It does temporarily solve my problem that the base wont fit in the quarter holder in my work truck. lol

If you look at the pictures on the CigTechs site, the chamfer on the Evic base is wider than on the ProVari base.
you know it looks like your right also when you look at the pics the provari spring is copper and evic is silver . I have silver ...
FWIW my tatroe is also silver spring, the first time I tried to thread it, it wasn't 100% smooth, but I think it just needed a little lube, it's working good now.

It seems to be a little too tough and no way I'm messing up the threads on my brand new mini lol
yes I completely understand.. as soon as mine showed some resistance, I was like... don't you even try it..step away from my brand new threads!!
and off it went.. 2 of the threads seem a little 'dirty' on mine, I am not sure what it might be... tried to wipe it off with some paper towel without any luck. it seems 'stained'. but it threads just fine (it's just a small black spot at the bottom of the grooves, about the size of a rice grain)
I am waiting for my noalox to arrive to find out if it might be able to clean that up.
