After much study it seems a Provari would give me what I need, including quality and a warranty.

I am poor however, and a discount code would be most helpful. I have not been able to locate a code for Provape, or anyone else selling provari. Does anyone know where I could get a discount code to help me get this device?

Also, what's up with the good batteries being out of stock, and being replaced by a 2000? it seems that one must purchase the inferior batteries and go back later when buying a provari from Provape. I can't really afford to do such things, but to buy the starter kit it seems you must do so.

Any help would be appreciated. I have only had tobacco 5 or 6 times in the past 3 weeks, which is a miracle. The reason I smokeed then was that I made a mistake and ran out of stuff. Had I done my research I could have saved a bundle (knowing that vapor is a poor delivery device for nicotine would have saved a great deal of trouble; I could have bought a proper device and liquid to start with).

thanks

pretty sure the provari doesn't ever have a discount code attached to it.

Have you looked on the classifieds for a used one (Will not have a warranty, as it is non transferable)

Have you considered other VV options?

I want a provari, but for the price, I found that I can tune my vape with a constant voltage and simply try several different resistance cartomizers.

I opted for a Lavatube for about 1/4 the price from Volcano. Same function and much lower price tag. No coupons for provape. But I buy my batteries and chargers from rtdvapor and they have a code ECF5 for 5% off not a ton but every little bit helps. Also their shipping is FAST and under 2$. They are out of stock on 18650s right now but I expect in a few days that will change.

Remember you get what you pay for, the Provari is more like twice as much @ $159 then the Lavtube @ $70 but its made in the good old USA, is of a very high quality and will last you a lifetime. Provape also has super customer service and even after the warranty period Dave the owner of Provape is exceptionally fair if you may need a repair. If ya can scrap up the extra I would go Provari you wont be sorry one bit.

The 18650 provari, which I think the OP is talking about, is $180 not $160. I believe you can use the first time buyer coupon code at volcano to bring down the l-tube to $63, at that difference you could buy a Lava a year and have a warranty until 2015 for the same price. Mind you in 2015 they will both be obsolete as our PV's will be able to drive our flying cars.

Isn't Dave the guy that "vapes like a research monkey"?

Thanks for the info. I did say I was poor, but I am smart enough to know the benefits of good customer service and high quality.... As a maintenance tech, I know the value of a good tool, and what eventually happens with a bad one.
So thanks for the replies, I think I will go for the provari, as having a reliable tool is the most important thing to me. When taxes are done, I might get a lavatube as a 2nd device, just in case. I don't want to smoke again, that's for sure.

Still, it irks me to buy the inferior batteries. Everyone seems to be out of the
18650, except the cheaper brands that I see bad reviews of constantly.

In any case, I plan to try a 3.5ml dual coil tank for 12 bucks from madvapes. I have not heard of any news of leaks, etc. from these cheaper tanks, and some 3 ohm cartos. This sound good or am I making a mistake?

Thanks gain for the replies. There is so much info I have been reading and researching for a long while now, and I'm still not sure of myself.

If you are referring to the AW IMR 2000 mAh 18650 batteries on the the Provape site, I don't think they are not inferior. They use the same chemistry and are being manufactured by AW and are replacing the 1600 mAh batteries.

Blueridge, I just ordered the Black Chrome Provari Friday. I couldn't find a disc code either. I've been using the GLV2 for about 8 months. I wanted the Provari back then but opted out for $$$ reasons. Only thing I'm worried about is that I'll find 5v really is the "sweet spot".

BTW(anyone?) I have a second GLV2(5v) I've never used I'd like to sell. (Bought it for a back up/looks just like the one on GLV's site) I see people talk about "classifieds", how would I go about posting this GLV2 for sale to compensate for what I just paid for this Provari?

No, I meant the smaller batteries that come with the starter kit... the site says the 18650 2000 mAh won't be available till the 13th, I think. Therefore I'd have to order the smaller batteries(inferior) or wait. In fact it appears there is a pre-ordering option for the 18650 2000 mAh.

5v is the sweet spot...for certain cartomizers and atomizers. So is 3.7 and 6.0 and 4.7 that you can achieve with batteries. What you get with the Provari is a chance to dial any of those voltages in so you can use anything on it, and no battery changes with charge amount. I just put a 1.2ohm dual coil cartomizer on mine at 3.4, worked great. It really keeps your options open. And by finding that setting with the Provari with that cartomizer it tells me that I can put this cartomizer on an ego. The Provari helps me with all my other mods. The ones I use when I am out and about!

Bluridge, wise choice cool,,,,,Do yourself a favor, save up after the Provari and grab yourself a Darwin as well, then you will have the Top 2 PV's on the market as far as electronic and CS, the Darwin is also just AWESOME, once you have it you wont believe how well it makes Atty/Cartos jump and produce over everything else out there, forget that Lava thing, just my 2c

PS, with the Darwin you wont even need Batts, plug it in at bedtime and when you wake up you got yourself a good 2 days worth of vape time. It has no cutoff with LR stuff and it will totally amaze you how Atty's/Carto respond. There isnt anything better electronics wise on the market, and having the top 2 PV's just rules, you wont ever smoke again owning these 2 units Blueridge. :) I think you have Dave and Drew mixed up from NHALER, Drew is the one who vapes like the research monkey I believe and Drew sells the Darwin.

My friend and I bought 3 of these at 1.7ohm, we have been using them on authentic ego (3.2-3.4v) battery's now for about 4 days. Good vapor, warmer than the ego standard resistant tanks. Just all around better than anything we've used so far. The small hole hasn't given any problem feeding liquid to the carto yet. We are using dekang liquid, which is 100% pg i think. Also, we haven't experienced any leaks. It's the 5ml version of the tank from smok tech. The only con i could find with these tanks is with an ego battery it takes about 10 recharges to get through one of them. They literally drain those 1000mah batteries.

If you're planning on using a provari battery, i've read that 2.0-2.5ohm would be high enough resistance to get the full voltage without an E2 error.

Edit: I've watched videos of people refilling these tanks and when i got mine i just noticed a better way immediately. You can just pop the rubber grommet off the top and put juice in, i see no reason to slide it down and tilt it. Those grommets aren't going to wear out from taking them off.
