If you want to drip then yes you need an atomizer. If you want to stick with cartomizers and a tank then no you don't have to have an atomizer. I have had both the Provari and a silver bullet. I ended up selling my SB. The provari provides the best vaping experience Imo anyway. Good luck.

Can someone please tell me if I should add an atomizer to my Provari order??

Thank you for your help....I tried dripping with my current PV and didn't care too much for it. I have heard it is a good way to test new juice but for some reason I think I was doing it wrong. I think I will get the atomizer and try again with thr Provari. I have SOOOOO many flavors that I have had for months and haven't even tried yet for fear I won't like it and then have to deal with a carto tainted with a yucky juice. It is really all so easy and yet so complicated at the same time...lol

I do my dripping with CE2's but and I don't know if this true anymore. The last I time used an atomizer was back in the stone age of vaping and they had to be cleaned and burned before the first use. Maybe some here can tell you how to get started on one.

Absolutely, everyone should have an atomizer.
Really, you should get two.

For a Provari you probably should get atomizers in the 2.5 to 3.0 ohm range.
I'm not positive that's the optimal range, but I think it is.

If I'm wrong, hopefully someone will clarify.

Me again Shannon,
You ask about a tank. I have only had a couple. The Big Daddy tank is the one that works best for me. I have a couple of these and never had any kind of leaking at all. It just works. The one thing I like about these is you can change out the carto with the tank like still half full. (there is a Big Daddy tank review on Youtube that shows how to do this, if you can't find it let me know). I have the 3ml tanks. They are big enough for me. Just seems to me that the 5 ml tank would be huge. I had got one 3 ml one to try it and it is easy enough to fill that when I got the second one I stayed with that size. However I did get the 'stainless steel' the second time.

Get the black Delrin tank. It is a lot lighter than the stainless. The ProVari is not as light as you are use to and when I put the Stainless Steel Big Daddy tank on it. Well, it is actually rather heavy.

Go to the local hardware store and get a 'saddle valve'. Then you can easily punch your own holes in the cartos. I have found that in the boge 3.0 ohm cartos I like two holes. That might be a personal thing. (or Big Daddy sells the saddle vavles on the site.)

Then you will be all set. (if you do get one of these, click on me and the 'threads started by me' and you will find a thread I did in the tips and trick section that will come in handy)

Since you probably know, I will ask here. What voltage can the kick or even other vv's go to?

Most VV units go to 6V some higher depends on what electronics they use, as for the kick and evolve goes they work more so on variable Watts, I believe the "kick" will achieve 10W and the Darwin hits a max of 12.7 Watts

Provari. The Silver Bullet is, from what I have read, not much different in versatility than your RoughStak. :)

Silver bullet and Roughstack are almost identical in function, but different in form.

I am thinking of getting an INfinity, since the Provari is a bit out of my price range, but from what I know, worth every penny. INfinity has a great following as well, at half the price (After you consider an extension cap and batteries on a Provari will put you upto $200 USD

Yes, the IPro is also a very solid VV. I have the predecessor original Infinity, and the Buzz Pro (same circuit as the IP), very happy with both. Recommend picking up the batts/charger, then add a second set of batteries. I get 6 - 7 ml of vaping between battery changes, at about 4.5 - 5V, 2.5 or 3 ohm carto, 8W.

IPro is 3.5 - 5.5V adjustable, good regulation (doesn't taper as the batteries deplete), can actually go up to 15W (1.5 ohm DC at 4.7V). Their standard coupon code is "ECF Buzzkill" (2 words), 7.5% off. It doesn't have an LCD, just a simple thumbwheel voltage adjustment, both my original Infinity and BP have taken a beating and still work really well.

Are there certain voltages to use with certain ohm's??? For example if I have a 2ohm carto in a tank....is there a certain voltage that I should use? Can I use any voltage with any ohm's without hurting my Provari or tank/carto? I really need help with this...thanks so much.
There is a limit on how may watts the provari will allow you to use before the safety switch cuts the power off. I don't remember what it is. There is also a limit on how fast a carto can wick. if the coil isn't kept wet you will start to get a burnt taste.
The more power a battery sends to the coil the more juice that can be vaporized.
power = watts
More volts = more watts = more hit and vapor.
Lower ohms = more watts = more hit and vapor.

Using more watts will also drain your battery faster.

With the same voltage you will get a lot more hit and smoke with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer than with a 3.0 ohm cartomizer.
