Ray, from a Joye 510 to an Ego to ordering a Provari after 19 days of vaping? That’s a quick jump to the heavier stuff and The Provari is a very good choice in this range. The world of happy vaping is on it’s way for you.

The best for liquid feeding? Depends what’s important for you. For me throat hit is important, so I vape the Provari on 5.7 V with a 3 ohm 510 atomizer/cartomizer. With this voltage I have bad experiences with the CE2 cartomizers. They don’t wick fast enough for me and get bad taste with them. I drip or use the Vapemate. The (satin) silver Vapemate matches the satin silver Provari very well. For my work I am a lot of the time travelling/on the road. Than I use the Vapemate with a cartomizer; an atomizer is to much hassle when travelling. For rewetting the cartomizer I once and a while tilt the Provari and sqeeuze the vapemate a few times, in this way the drops fall on the side and not in the middle of the cartomizer, so no flooding. After that I can vape on for half an hour with no hassle and than repeat the procedure. It’s easy when driving/travelling. If it’s necessary not to show the Vapemate, I just can remove the Vapemate, but most of the time I only remove the bottle and push a small peace of paper tissue in the bottle opening of the Vapemate. For me this set-up looks also better in public than a MAP-tank or a clearomizer. When in public I screw the bottle only on the Vapemate when I need to wet the cartomizer and afterwards screw the bottle off again and put the paper tissue back in the opening.

I have been using a Provari for a month now, I have tried standard 510's and 306's, lr 510's and 306's, hv510's and 306's, and a few carto's.What has worked best for me are the hv306 from Ikenvape for when dripping, and the drip-tip 510 gold v2 carto from Ikenvape for when on the go or when dripping isn't convenient. I never liked carto's but this particular one on the Provari will not disapoint. But that's the beauty of the Provari, so many choices, just adjust voltage. So everyone can have their cake and eat it to.

+1 on those Iken cartos. Just got 10 and today an email from Ikenvape that he just got a shipment of the V2 w/out the DT and got another 10. These things really bring it on the Vari! Got to give props to the Boge LR 2.0 mega carto too though. They are really nice on the Vari.

silentt - it is an amazing unit and I really enjoy mine. Read up on the Darwin too that thing is supposed to be really nice and once they are back in stock (nHaler) one will be on its way to me. I also have the Infinity which fits into the rotation since it is light and much thinner than the Vari. A good unit for placing in a suit pocket since it does not weigh much. It is more mechanical than than the Vari (wheel for VV adjustment).

megalodon, chuck, saber, infinity, buzz, prestige, indulgence, ggts,gg, glv-2... there are 2 many to name (some are VV some are not)... All are good and do the same thing more or less. Wood mods are amazing. The tek mod is amazing, the mako... Just soo many choices.. It is totally up to you.

One thing about the ProVari that might become an issue, is the button. You have to push the button a lot. 5 times each time you want to change the voltage. That button will get used a lot. Glad they have a one year warranty.

Another n00b vaper (started vaping ~5 weeks ago) with order for ProVari (#4208; should have it within 2 weeks). Started with Joye eGo, mostly dripping, but also using PTB cart mod when on the go, driving etc.

Ordering ProVari made a lot of sense to me - already spent more than its price on eGo batteries and LR atty's plus I keep one spare set of everything, just in case. They just don't last very long on me even though I'm not heavy hitter (max 2ml on heaviest vaping days). I like thick vapor, so I'm on 18mg 30PG/70VG mix, tobacco flavors exclusively, but I can vape flavorless as long as I have heaps of vapor going.

I ordered ten 510 cartos with ProVari to get me started, but I would like to get COV Mini MAP tank (I'm on "Notify me" thingy). What is the life expectancy on 3.2 ohm Mini MAP tanks? Can someone help me with that? Do I need to stock up on CE2's? Last thing I need to not be able to vape, the delivery time to get stuff from US (when lucky enough for stuff to be in stock in the first place) is over one week. I need to do some logistic management here.

Thanks.

Cheers

I've read somewhere in the massive ProVape thread that the button is rated by manufacturer to withstand 500,000 presses.
Nothing lasts forever, but this one should last for a good while.

Laszlo - you will enjoy that Provari for sure! Check the Provape site and add about 10 of the LR cartos

510 LR Cartomizer for Electronic Cigaratte.

They are the Boge with a verticle element and they hit much better and last longer than the standard 510 coil type cartos. COV should have the replacement CE-2 guts for the MAP in stock soon. If not grab a couple of the XL ones. Those are the ones needed for the MAP not the regular sized ones (too short). Also any atty's that you have that seem weak will find new life on the Vari so I hope you saved them. Also stock up on juice this thing plows through the stuff like it is its job!!!!

agreed..

if you press the button 100 times a day, that's 36500 a year, which makes the button last 13 years. If that's true :)

I read through the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provape/131028-provari-variable-voltage-mod.html thread and owners posted that it was very easy to work the button and navigate through the menu. The buton is rated for 400,000 cycles (see post #241 on page 25 in link above) and is covered under warranty. The voltage is adjustable at 0.1 volt increments.

IMHO, I would rather use a button to adjust the voltage in lieu of a wheel like on the Darwin. I feel that I would be checking my voltage contantly, in case the wheel moved by bumping it or some other reason.

All - I have had my Vari since Dec 21. The button has seen MANY pushes and works as good as the day it arrived. This unit is rock solid. You can even press the button and cycle through to shut the red led button light off. If I lost my Vari tomorrow I would place an order IMMEDIATELY for another.

But you'd still have to wait three weeks :-(

Thanks for all tips Ski.

I see how I will fare with my ProVari, if I like it, I may buy another one (black?) and use one in office and one at home and I'm set.
