The Provari "release" PassThru..ProVari Pass-Thru - Power your ProVari without Batteries - YouTube. Enjoy the freedom from batteries-- what? What about the freedom from a cord...isnt that what batteries offer?
Im not bashing the PassThru I just dont understand why you would need one... Like I said a 18650 last a full day plus....

Some people with mods are a weird bunch, they really like to swap out and carry batts all day. If they had to do that with phones/tablets they'd be throwing fits, but somehow it's ok on a PV.

I thought people would take to it quick and we'd be seeing posts about The Worlds Best PT soon. Apparently people just can't wrap their heads around this.

What do you mean swap out and carry batteries all day?
I put in a fresh 18650 in the morning and dont change it until the next morning and it still has power left....

Apparently they're not selling at a break-neck pace. I actually like the idea, and probably would have gotten two of them (one for Mrs.), at a significantly lower price point. $20-25 TOPS. But, at least for me, it's just priced way out of range. I'm sure they sold at least some, but maybe the buyers aren't seeing this thread (for a variety of potential reasons).

If you like the idea, I'm sure it works very well.

This is the response I wrote them on FB: Perhaps you are waiting to see how the car kit sells but I'd like to see a home kit, with a wall charger included. I would consider the pass-thru but without a need for a car charger, buying the kit AND the wall charger seems a bit steep. I spend a lot more time near wall outlets than I do stuck in a vehicle. If I have an hour in the car, a battery will last just fine for the trip. The long-haul truck driver? Sure, ideal solution.

The pass-thru IS a solution to a real problem, that of swapping out batteries constantly if you are sitting at home vaping all day. But the cost/benefit ratio just doesn't grab me - to address the problem I will just buy more batteries and I have a few in my cart while I'm looking over this new kit, too. I can get an awful lot of AWs for the pass-thru price. I have no doubt the margin is much greater for you in selling someone like me a pass-thru kit, so that's my suggestion. Make a home kit, make it affordable and with the subsequent increased sales you STILL make more margin than ~$10 batteries that you must bring in from elsewhere (and that can be sold through your competitors since they are a commodity). Batteries don't generate THAT much profit. What,a couple bucks at most? You would have done the math.

Your own Provari is a standout in the industry and spoken of on ECF with the utmost reverence, but people have already spent a lot of money on them. They may be .....ing about the constant need to change batteries at higher output, but you need to convince them WHY they need this product. Innovation is all about making our lives better. Why is the pass-thru so special, that it will make their Provari experience that much more enjoyable, and worth the extra money. Right now, I'm interested but turned off by the price point which would frankly be overpaying for my needs. Create the home kit at a new price point, forecast and compare the sales empirically. Or do a better job of convincing me to drop that much money on the pass-thru kit. After all, you convinced me to spend around $220 on Provari, and I am so glad I did!

I reality, unless you are in a car or near a power source all day long you will swap the batteries and PT a lot during the day. When you get in the car, remove the battery, insert PT and vape. You get out of the car, remove the PT, insert the battery and vape. Repeat for the drive home. Most of the time an 18650 will last me for the whole day and only occasionally do I have to change batteries during the day. So, for me at least, the PT will actually be more work to use than using only batteries. What would be more useful is a PT extension that will let you keep a battery in the PV and give you the ability to also use the PV in a pass-through mode (kind of like the eGo PT's).
