Hi everyone! New to this whole vaping thing, as of 5/19, and quit smoking analogs (love that term) the same day. What started as just wanting to quit smoking, turned into me working at a new bar that does not allow indoor smoking, has quickly turned into an obsession. I come from an electronics background, so most of the jargon makes sense, until we get into brand names, and the terms for the cartos/tanks/attys/etc., but I'm learning quickly via ECF! Anyway...

I've been looking to upgrade to a ProVari, and was recently directed to their blemish/clearance section. "What an awesome deal!", I thought; then I looked at the pricing. There's one blem model listed, with a $19 discount, and several that say "original design". What is the difference between the "original design" and the "new design" models? The only thing I can visually note is that the etching on the sides is a different design. Anyone have any input? Why would I pay the same price for an older model?

Also, a side note, how the heck do i add a signature?!

The old version just has straight lines going down the tube, and the new one has criss crossing circles around it. I hear the blemishes on those normally aren't that noticeable. The only reason I didn't order from the blemished ones was, I had to have black. :) Can't go wrong buying a Provari!!! I have a mini, and a full size and I love them both! A must have for any collection!

The one on the left is the newest look, and the one on the right is the older one.

Are they anodized, or just painted?

Neither, they have a ceramic coating called Cerakote. It is very durable, but it does chip if you drop it on a hard rough surface. Mine has quite a few scars now, but that is the reason I payed the money for a Provari... I knew I would be rough on it. I'm actually surprised at how well the finish has held up.

AHHH I really just keep telling myself I don't need one...but I think I need one lol.

I don't understand why so many of you go for the Mini??
If you gonna stick with vaping i would suggest you skip all the china brands, nothing wrong with china stuff a lot of people like them, and get one. Mae in US, 1yr warranty, well made, and good cs from provape.

V2 and v2.5 have the exact same internals only difference is the outside.

The blems are a great deal. If i didnt want to support local shops i would have ordered one. I dont hink i ever saw one of the colored ones being a blem. But i havent checked their site after i bought mine.

People get the mni for stealth and compct use. You can buy the extended battery cap and put the 18500 battery in there making it a standard size.

Too bad there isn't an option to make the mini an 18650 size. Lol.

Size really doesn't bother me. *shrug*. Thinking the full size, and an 18650 extender!
I have both a regular size and a mini. Started out with the regular using the extender cap for the longer lasting 18650 battery. But there are times when out-and-about when you may want something more pocket-friendly or more stealth-like (in the cinema). I got a mini for those situations.

I got the Tatroe base with extender sleeves which allow me to use two sleeves to use an 18650 battery on the mini. I don't use it this way, as that defeats the purpose of why I wanted a mini in the first place, but I still have that option.

Below is a regular size Provari alongside a mini with the Tatroe base and two extender sleeves (18650 mode). Two extender sleeves and the regular Provari battery cap can also be used (instead of the base).

Below is just the Tatroe base on the mini. The AGA tanks pictured are pretty top heavy and can cause accidental tipping over of the Provari's. The bases allow for a wider center of gravity to help prevent tipping.

Below is the Tatroe with one extender sleeve for 18490 battery mode.

Difference between 2.0 and 2.5 is only cosmetic. (I think those are the version numbers.)

I have owned 5 Provari's and the V2.5 design is much nicer than the V.2....... A V.2 in Satin Silver, the logo is laser etched, and will fade over time where as the V2.5 logo is engraved.........

Here is the link....http://www.cigtechs.com/Provari-Tatroe-Base-Ring-_p_382.html
You use the ring and the Provari ext. cap to make your Mini accept a 18650 battery...
