Was it new and given to you as a Gift or was it owned by someone before you got it?
If it was NEW I'm sure if you contacted Provape and explained you got it as a gift they would honor the 1 year warranty. But that would be up to them.
Yes it takes a 18490 battery or you can order the 18650 extension cap for it and use those bigger batteries.
