I don't know if this is a Kanger issue or Provari issue- but my Provari is reading a 2.2 ohm coil as 2.5 and a 2.5 ohm coil as 2.7. Anyone else experience this with a ProTank? Do provari's ever need to be calibrated? just curious
It's FAR more likely that the coil is off.
Are you saying you checked it on a multimeter?
If not - it's the coils - I found Kanger coils almost ALWAYS ran about .2 ohms high.
I'd buy 1.8, and out of the box, they'd AVERAGE 1.9 or 2.0. (A few would be right and a few would be higher)
Agreed. More than likely the coils are off. They can be off as much as + / - 0.2 ohm and still be within spec.
The Provari's internal ohm meter is considered to be extremely accurate. In fact, PBusardo often uses the Provari to check ohm readings of various juice attachments he is reviewing instead of an ohm reader box or digital multimeter.
