A completly new welding machine with current technology, instead of a facelift

Well I'd say some like the new design and some don't. Some like the current technology and others don't. I'm fine with the current technology of the Provari. I really like 1 button control and I've got VW PV's and to me it's no big deal. I actually like controlling my own 'power' level by changing the voltage setting.

Hello everyone,
Right now the provari v2.5 will offer the new design, but we will also offer the 2.0 design for those of you who would prefer the older style over the v2.5 style.

The new design is really nice in person.

Kindly,
Ken

Thank jeebus for this, thank you ProVape  but ken, be honest it looks like a vibrator (esp. the pink one  ) however because provape is so awesome in giving us this choice i will reserve my judgement untill i see it in person

as far as the red leds go i have a mini w/ a blue led and one w/ a green led, and my gf has one w/ a red led, and i prefer the red led as its much brighter and i can see it light up through my finger when i push the switch down, which i cant do w/ my blue or green. I stripped the paint off her pink mini and my black mini and gave one a brushed and one a polished finish as they looked like they had been through a war after a couple months of use, (cerakote chips very easily) and now the red led/ polished one looks like a cylon

I have a gold Provari that I won in a contest. It looks really nice but I would have preferred silver or black. Gold is wearing in places and always looks dull. I am planning on buying another after the income tax refund(if I get enough back) and am glad to know that the colors chip off. I was wondering about the colors chipping but hadnt seen anyone comment about it.

They dont chip unless dropped or banged against something hard... Ive had a Black Satin for 8 months and it looks good as new... Dont drop your Provari and you will be OK.....

Yikes! I have 2 back ones. One a year old and one, 8 months old. They're my primary PV's and go everywhere with me. They're still in great shape. Been knocked over, banged around, and dropped onto hard surfaces. And ya still have to look close to see a couple-few small scratches. My experience w/ the cerakote is that it 'doesn't chip' easily and is pretty durable.

Now my black chrome one - that one I baby - it don't leave the house. It's over a year old and with some care in handling it, is in great shape too.

{,,, knock-on-wood ,,, now that I've said this I don't want to jinx myself ,,, :laugh:}

I never dropped it, on mine all i did was knock it over while reaching for it (i was a little bit sleepy) onto a wood surface on my nightstand, huge gash on the front of it, and the paint around all the little teardrops had started to rub off just from being used/handled. On the silver i have dropped it many times though as i dont feel the need to baby it and no scratches or anything anywhere on it. Looks perfect like the day i got it, though the logo started to rub off on one side like the op, so i just rubbed the rest of it off w/ my thumb, it left a kind of "ProVari" outline which looks cool imo.

Ya thats just the thing, mike i just meant its ok if you have others, im just saying if youre thinking of getting one, get the silver first, that way youll have a knockaround one that wont get damaged, and leave the colored ones at home. I know the cerakote is weak as my gf had a jwrap on hers and dropped it, we took it off and the paint was chipped under the wrap. Before that she hadnt dropped it but it had come into contact w/ her keys in her purse and just that left scratches all over it, which she was upset about so i got her the wrap. At least now if she scratches it i can polish/buff it out. but i have always babied my black one and it still ended up like that after a couple months of use, just not as bad as hers

I will say though that im VERY impressed w/ the silver satin finish as it must be EXTREMELY tough to not show any signs of abuse after the way i abused it

I have a satin silver (1 year) and blue (6 months-ish) v2, and the finish on both is still in terrific shape. This is impressive to me as they do get dropped a lot, on a variety of surfaces from both lap and table height. The satin silver is almost completely logoless, but that doesn't really bother me that much, and otherwise it is insanely good at hiding what few scuffs it has on it. The blue one has one exceedingly hard-to-see scratch from a bad drop onto concrete pavers, and other than that is flawless. I was a little skeptical on how the coating would fare when I first got mine, but have been pleasantly surprised with how well it holds up. Any future ProVaris I get will be coated as well. I figure if anything significantly bad happens to the finish that I can't cover up or live with, I can polish it back to the metal or just put a wrap on it.

That's good to know on the blue. I just got one on Sat. My silver one that I have had for 2+ years looks great even though it has been dropped a few times.

My previous carry gun was refinished in cerakote. That gun suffered through nearly 15 years of sweat, bangs, unlined leather holsters, and firing. It took a beating and still looked like new. It had so little visible wear that it was hard to tell if it had any at all. I'm pretty sure that it's finished with the same stuff Provape's using.

I personally would love to have a plain, unfinished Stainless Steel. Maybe bead blasted or something. Not polished, just the raw SS look.
Like, the look of the top cap...Provape wouldnt even have to discount it, for lack of finishing...I'd still buy it..

same here, save me the trouble lol
