Good comparison. The dual coil cartos have a strong following. I've read a few people who like them at 4.2v and a few who like them at 4.6v --- and a whole bunch of people like me who think they really start kicking in around 4.8 to 5.2v. I almost exclusively run mine in two different configurations. 1) is on my Triple-V 5.0v regulated and 2) On just about any of my "18650" tube mods with a 4.8v ni-mh batt installed.
I got a day with a friends provari a few weeks ago, I was pretty impressed with the looks, the heft, and the operation of the device, I have to admit it was nice having some multimeter functions built in to check the ohms on the atty or carto I was using. It delivered the same hit over and over very consistently.
I had some family up from Arizona two months ago and one of my wife's aunts had a buzz pro. I got to mess around with it for a few hours and I very much appreciated the somewhat lighter weight and the simplicity of the control. It also delivered a very consistent hit vape after vape after vape.
Both units are fine devices.
If you would have asked me if I was planning to buy one or the other after having tested them out, I might have said yes. I think I had it in mind to get one of each once I knew the Provari V2 was less limited in regards to dual coils than the original provari was.
My plans have changed a bit. The VVPV is out - the VV REOs will be here soon - and the Kick is out. I don't know if I can say I removed both the provari and the buzz pro from my wish list, but they've fallen toward the bottom of the list for now anyway.
