You can use the ProVari with dc cartos, but 1.5ohm dc's will require 3.9 volts or below to avoid the dreaded E2 error code. If you really like the dc's you can pick up 2.0 or 2.5 ohm dcs and vape at whatever volts you want.

I use Boge SR (3.0ohm) and 2.5ohm dc cartos on my ProVaris with no problems. I've even used the 1.5ohm that I had left over from my eGo vaping days.

Hi KR, vaping w/ dual core 3ohms with no problems here. Just don't get low resistance cartomizers or atomizer unless you want to stay w/ low voltage vaping. From what I remember (and I could be way off) LR is designed for lower voltage mods to perform like they are higher (5v) so not your best purchase to get the full range for ProVari.

Still learning here so someone can correct this if I'm off. Congrats on purchasing your new ProVari!! I love mine.

What about regular atomizers? What is a good Ohm range for using an atomizer with a Provari? @_@;;

I have been using joytech 2.5ohm atties and running them btwn 4.3-4.5 volts for the last 8 months and I've had great success with them.

In reference to dual coil atties, I had to try one and ordered from clouds of vapor. They were sold as 1.5ohm, but according to my provari it's showing 1.9-2.0ohms. I've been running these at the same voltage as my 2.5ohm joytech atties and not getting a e2 message (ymmv). I'd rather have a 2.5-3 ohm dc atty and it looks like they will be coming out with these soon.

They are juice hogs and my battery time is being cut by about half (1100 mah--didn't get the extension). But the flavor explosion these dc atties produce is amazing.

cheers,
