Hello everyone,

I have the following questions.

Is it ok or recommended to use dual coil cartomizers for an ego T battery? Is it better than using single coil?

I heard dual coils are not recommended for provari. Is this still the case?

Is low res or high res cartomizers better for provari?

Is low res or high res better for the liquinator?

Do you need a different liquinator if you plan on using dual coil cartomizers? They seem to sell different types of liquinators based on if you use dual coils or not?

Thank you I know I have lots of questions..

Dual coils work on my provari just fine. If you plan on doing high voltage vaping on them though, you have to use high resistance cartos. I use 2.5 ohm dual coils and I can fire my provari on 6v just fine. The only tank I have used is the smoktech DCT with the dual coil replacement cartos. So far it has been working very well for me. Hope this helps.

Dual coil cartos aren't as good as many people say.
They die very quickly. Also the vapor of the dual coil cartos are much hotter. It's quite disturbing in my opinion.
You can get the same amount of vapor with a regular carto or atty if you use it on a higher voltage.
I use 3ohm BOGE reg resistance cartos for my ProVari and it gives me more vapor than a dual coil carto could.
As for the liquinator: you can use low res-high res, whateva you want. :)
You need a longer liquinator for dual coil cartos (5ml or 8.5ml BFT).
And you can use the shorter ones (3ml and 5ml phat) for shorter cartos (single coil).

Interesting, I have not noticed this disturbing high temperature vapor you are talking about and I vape at 5.5v-6v all the time. My current dual coil has been working very well for 5 days straight now as well.

Its not the Dual Coils that can cause a problem on an eGo, its using a real low ohm carto. Many people like the 1.5ohm DCs but on an eGo, it can be risky. Some people use them on an eGo and dont have a problem, but many others have also fried their eGos using 1.5ohms. Using 1.5ohm and 1.7ohm puts a lot of stress on the eGo mosfet. They werent made to handle that low of a resistance. So if you are going to, be careful. Using 1.5ohm cartos leaves very little room for error. They might work fine for awhile and then one day.. zap.. no more eGo. If you want to use LR cartos on an eGo, Id use the 2.0ohm Boges. They work well and are less likely to fry your eGo.

Single coils are safer for your batteries but the dual coils can be used. They deplete the life of the battery faster and will eventually cause premature dead.

I heard dual coils are not recommended for provari. Is this still the case?

It's because of the low ohms. If you can find the dual coils above 1.5ohms, then they can be used without causing an E2 error.

Is low res or high res cartomizers better for provari?

Standard and high res is better. I like to run Boge 3.0ohm cartos on 5-6V's.

Is low res or high res better for the liquinator?

Either is good but depends on what battery device you are using.

Do you need a different liquinator if you plan on using dual coil cartomizers? They seem to sell different types of liquinators based on if you use dual coils or not?

No. If you only want to purchase a 3ml tank, you can use any carto in it you want. If you're going to use dual coils, the carto itself will stick out longer than a Boge.

ckim111,

I have used a dual coil atty 1.5ohms from COV on my provari (I don't use carto's); it worked fine at 4.3 volts. My normal set-up is a joyetech 510 2.5 ohm atty at 4.5-5 volts. I didn't notice much of a difference in vapor production, but the flavor was def enhanced. The only drawback (for me) was that it cut my battery time in half. Would I order a dc atty again? Maybe, but for now I am sticking with the joyetech 2.5ohm atties, but I would recommend trying the dc atties to see for yourself.

Is low res or high res better for the provari? High res atties/cartos are better as you can run your provari up to 6 volts. low res atties/carto's were made for 3.7 volts--at least in theory.

cheers,
