Just got in a boat load of new batteries with my Provari Mini. I was wondering what the best practice was for new batteries. Do you use them first or charge them first. Any thoughts or discussions would be awesome! I got AW's - 5 18350's and 4 18490s.

Use a meter to check their voltage. Usually they are 80% capacity. If so you be fine to use them for a short period.

Put the battery in your provari and click the button 10 times and "cb" will show up and it will tell you how full the bat charge is on that particular batt. Most of the batts I have got for my provari came partially charged.

You're going to need more Provari's for all those batteries. They don't have a memory effect so you can use them now.

I used mine right away, your provari will start blinking when its time to charge them, not sure if this is good advice but I have always let a batt get low before putting it on charge...congrats on your provari!!!

Well that is what I thought. I have a friend that was telling me that these batteries have memory, and I was pretty sure that they do not. The 18350 I have in it is reading 3.7...and usually that is good to go for a little while. I got the spacers for the Pila finally and can't wait to use it to charge the 18350 and 16340's without stacking spacers. Now I can do 2 at a time! I will say that the mini is awesome. Looking inside the V2 electronics look different... but that might just be because I can see them much closer because of the shorter sleive. I would much rather have a V2 than an upgraded V2, for some reason.

The finish looks a little different than the satin provari..looks dirty? I am going to polish it up when I get home. Even the top cap looks a little dingy. I have never purchased a provari new, so perhaps everyone just gets them and shines them up..

Well if my wife likes this one, I might give it over once the black comes out. I am just at a cross roads with the LED's. I know the blue is cooler, but with the black satin, I just think the red looks better. Chrome as well.
