Proveri vs/or Notcigs Infinity

Been vaping for a few years. Currently been on puresmoker's V3 since the beginning of V3. Considering upgrade.

I've been away from the forum for about a year and wow, many new wonderful mod improvements. I am considering variable voltage mod. I thought Proveri and Notcig's Infinity was very interesting. Other than the obvious personal cosmetic preference, from the veteran's point of view, if you have to get one, which would it be and why?

Not comparable.

Infinity is just a low end VV model, for one they dont recommend low res attys, and if you check infinitys page they say it wont go higher then 1.8Amps (not 100% sure about the amps)

Provari will do anywhere from 4 to 6V, you have LCD display that shows the voltage (if you use infinity they sell add on with LCD display, so its more money and you cant use it all the time, its like 10cm high)
Provarii can check resistance of attys and carts
and many other option, its a work horse, the warranty is great, they answered every email...

I was in your position, choosing a good VV tro serve me for long and after reading a lot I decided that paying extra 50$ or so youll get a much better product.


I can guarantee you that the fact that you cant see the volts on the infinity will make you crazy, you'll fry ton of attys and carts before you learn how to use it and remember every position of the wheel...

The provari second to none imop built like a tank all the fetures you need also only one battery to run this vv.I own 2 of them thats how much i like them and the folks at provape are awsome!

Provari . Once your muscles become use to the weight of it it will feel more natural to hold . The menu system is awsome . I am glad I didn't throw out my ego tanks all they needed was a bit more voltage . ( adaptors needed to use a tank with a provari)

I have a Buzz and it's the s**t It doesn't weigh a ton, built like a tank and plain works. $100 vs $170 or so. Felt I didn't need all the bells and such. I've owned quite a few mods over the past 2 yrs and it's the most bang for the buck. Once you go vv you can't go back. Awaiting the Buzz Pro release in 1-2 weeks. Great customer svc That was a nickel's worth

I considered buying a Provari, and then a friend at work got one. Man, that thing is heavy compared to my Buzz! Nice feel to it though, it's got heft that's for sure. Could probably use it in a street fight! Having a single battery is a plus, would simplify things and be slightly safer to run.

But-- I'm just going with the Buzz Pro when it hits the shelves in a couple of weeks. The only complaint I had with my Buzz after using it for nearly a year is the need for a tiny screwdriver to adjust voltage, and the Pro has a thumbwheel. The thumbwheel on my wife's Infinity works fine for keeping the voltage where you need it and I'm sure the Pro will be the same.

Oh, a complaint about the Infinity: the bottom cap (aluminum) is small and it's hard to start the threads when replacing it. Buzz bottom cap (brass) is smooth and easy.

Man, that thing is heavy

At first the provari feels heavy but after you have it for a while the provari no longer feels heavy as your muscles adjust to it and you get use to holding it certain ways . For instance resting the .... end of it on your pinky finger where it meets your hand .

Buzz Pro

I own both the original Buzz and the Infinity. The Buzz is a workhorse - mine is over a year old and still kicking. The Infinity is sleek and has the convenience of a wheel to adjust voltage. The Buzz Pro should have it all.

A few times I wished I had a display, but I change the voltage all the time. It turns out I don't need a display to dial in the sweet spot. I adjust until it is sweet.

I appreciate the convenience of a wheel a lot more than I would ever appreciate a display.

Adjusting the voltage should be easy. I would go so far as to say it is the most important thing.
