I just received 3 penstyle atomizers from puresmoker. I tried to hook up a manual and auto switch from Janty. The threads fit perfectly but they are not working.. No heat what so ever.
Does anyone know if they are not compatible? There is a picture on the thread E-smoking on a plane that shows a PS atomizer hooked up to a Janty switch and battery.. Am I crazy?

well... maybe not entirely crazy..

one of my penstyle batteries that i received yesterday from puresmoker seems to work fine , it lights up and zaps my tounge when i give it the lick test... but it will NOT activate either of the atomizers that came with it...

not really sure if this helps or not , but i was thinking that mine was a battery atomizer connection problem

your Janty might be just shy of connecting to the atomizer on the inside

Cal that was me, I mix and match components. Don't forget you CANNOT use the battery that came with your penstyle with a Janty switch you need a non sensored battery like the ones that come with Janty or the ones you buy from David Yang. The penstyles most vendors sell have the switch built into the battery and won't fit/work with a manual switch.

I too have a janty kissbox. I also order the atomizer from vaporguys. You do get heat from the vaporguys atomizer but carts do not fit very well. The end of the cart seems like it's against the atomizer. I pulled off the cart and the stuffing got stuck on the atomizer and came out of the cart. The one from vaporguys is a tad bit longer than my janty one. Unless I'm doing something wrong with theirs.

BTW great communication with the vaporguys. Fast delivery. Also I love the choc med carts..hmmm taste good.

I did not buy a full PS penstyle. I have a janty kissbox classic that I was hoping would be compatible with PS's atomizers.. This picture is the pic. It looks like a janty kissbox battery and switch with a PS atomizer and it seems to work.

The thread was http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-public/728-e-smoking-airplane-22.html

Thanks for the response PTJD. I am using the same setup that is in the pic. Janty battery and manual switch with PS atomizer.. Maybe they have new atomizers?? Did you modify it in any way?

Yeah that was me, I travel overseas quite a bit and swear by my Janty/801 with a manual switch. I have not done any mods to the atomizer or pen. Now the generic atomizers are a little longer than Janty's and the carts are a little loose, but I drip so it does not affect me, try dripping and see if it works. If not I have heard some folks put a piece of tin foil in the middle to get better contact. I have bought puresmoker atomizers without any problems.

attached some pic's of the mix and match Janty/Puresmoker/801's.

You can see the length difference here in this pic.

The problem is contact between the atomizer & the switch. Do not use foil as it is likely to short thing out. Take the atomizer & look at it from the battery end. The problem is the center contact is not meeting the bottom of the switch. I have found the same problem with some USB pass through batteries. Take something sturdy but thin & use it to pry up (slightly) the center contact on the atomizer all the way around. Just place the edge under the contact & gently pry. I use the back of a nail file. If you raise the center contact a bit you will find the atomizer now works. Don't pull too hard or you can snap off the center contact. This has worked 100% for me. Hope it helps with your problem.

Every time I use a piece of aluminum foil, it burns up the switch immediately.

oops, didn't mean for you to short anything out, Grif is correct you need to be careful. Have you tried dripping?
Forgot to add, its been about 6 weeks or so since buying from Puresmoker, they could have changed.
