PT2 coils in an Aerotank?

Can I put the single coils from my PT2 in the dual coil aerotank? I've seen posts that it doesn't work vice versa.

Check here for others comments, they say flip an extra grommet for better sealing.

Check my blog I used single coils in a dual tank with some orings from Home Depot.

Do the two ends on either side of the glass screw together or are they held on by o-ring?
