PT2 mini for the rebuilder: keep or replace?

I busted one of my three ProTank 2 mini's today. Before purchasing another I was curious as to whether there might be a better choice. I have been out of the loop concerning tanks recently since I've been pretty happy with my PT2 mini's.

My main concern is rebuild-ability. I make my own micro coils and have to clean and re-wick my tanks on a regular basis, every few days. The cost of cotton and the longevity of my micro coils keep my costs incredibly low. The coil heads on the PT2 are also extremely easy to rebuild.

So keeping all that in mind, is there a better choice or stick with what I've been using?

Everyone is going to have a different opinion, if you're happy with it and it works for you I'd say stick with it

Strictly my opinion: I would get a couple of Aerotank mini's if you want the "mini" size tanks. They have an airflow adjustment so you can individualize the draw on them. Easy to rebuild the "old style" coils, not the new enclosed ones You can get coils for <$1+ each from: clonecores with the ability to rebuild them for cheap. I've used this vendor for rebuild supplies and he is fast to ship and sent me some free wicks with coils on them

Honestly? Sounds like its time for an upgrade IMO.
Maybe a kayfun or dripper with a single coil option. Magma RDA seems to be getting a lot of good reviews, along with the Plumveil.
You'd likely want to upgrade your battery to something like a 30w device.

If that's too much I hear those nautilus bvc tanks are good, and the coil is rebuildable like the protank, but probably with more effort. Riptrippers rebuilt one, check it out on YouTube.

Does the Aerotank mini use single coils? If not, can they be used? I'm not up to the hassle of rebuilding dual coils, they appear to be a PITA.

I was considering the Kayfun a while back. My tank has to be leak proof since I pocket it, lay it down, throw into bag, etc, it goes with me everywhere. My PT2 mini never leaks.

I'm using a Vision Spinner II and I have an MVP I sometimes use as well.

I'm not looking for the hassle of dual coil rebuilds. If there is a tank better the the PT 2 mini that can use the kanger single coils then I'm interested.

I might try a Kanger Airflow Control 2.0 mini as a replacement base on a PT2 mini. I have loads of single coils ready to rebuild. It literally costs me almost nothing. I love that.

MVP with a kayfun would be a nice setup. I throw mine in my pocket all the time. you just have to give it a few vapes before filling it up to make sure its not leaking on you. If it leaks, it will likely be out of the airflow. the same conepts that keep your PT2 from leaking keep the kayfun from leaking (bottom coil vacuum based atomizer).

Many like the the aero tank - that airflow may make it much better.
If your happy with your PT2's why change? the pt3's would probably give you a similar vape experiance, but I'm not sure if the head has different dimensions.

From what I gather, the PT 3's use dual coil heads with incompatible dimensions for the single coil.

If anyone can tell me if the Aerotank mini works with the single coil heads it would help a lot.

Probably, did you look at the nautilus mini? its a bit larger than the pt2 as far as overall dimentions, but check out riptrippers rebuild video. It looks like a bit more of a pain than rebuilding PT heads, but its possible and I'm sure once you do it a few times its not a big deal.
