PTB to refill cartomizer

im posting this cause i couldnt find a post where it has been succesfully tried i tried taking the filler out of a carto after reading about it in another tread and i thought it was glued or somthing cause it didnt want to come out i guess it was stuck on part of the atty but last night i pulled the filler out off a slightly burned cart still the flavor was gross. it came out easey i was still carfull to pull evenly all around the cart. once it was out i cleaned with alcohaul (the atty) then with water. then i cut the ptb on three edges to look like a sheet of material like in the 510 ptb mod. i folded it long ways like a rolling papper also like the 510 ptb mod but then i fold it short ways to resimble the size of the original carto filler then i wraped it around an alen wrench to make a toob and then i made a few small cutts at the top of the rolled ptb in the direction of top to bottom but only like an 8th of an inch down this may not be nessisary or it may be better if the cutts are longer ill have to play with that aspect but then you carefully slide it over the atty the way its folded it will stick up further than the atty but dose not seem to affect it like i said ive only had the carto going since last night but it seems to hold a little more juice i started with 18 drops took a few drags and thought there was a funny taste so i put a few more drops in and it turns out the funny taste was from the new juice i was vaping cause i relized the funny taste was in the other cartos. it even seems like i have to top it off a little less often and theres great vapor production and it turns out when u need to top it off you get the same change in flavor as the original filler im sure some one besides me has tried this so please post your findings oh i almost forgot the flavor realy stood out with the ptb but the draw is just a little stiffer but not bad ill update this in a few days

Wow...I'm glad to see someone trying this! Im sitting here right now picking the stuffing out of an 801 and am going to stuff it in on top of whats already in the cartomizer. Brand new cart,btw. I want to see if keeping that metal coil covered and wet might help with the burning problem. It seems like this last bunch of carts I got just burn up right away no matter how I fill them. What really frustrating is I can't remember where I got them!!!! There's only like a couple thousand factories in China that make them and so far no way that I can see to tell which ones your getting. Lord knows the sellers won't tell you! HINT HINT.
be sure and let us know how it worked...sounds like a good idea. I've tried it but alway end up breaking the wire

i seem to have less of a burning problem when i vape at five volts with my passthrough cause i dont have to draw on it half as long

ive used this ptb carto mod for 0n3 and a half days and it seems the vapor is less than the original filler the draw still stiffer i think if the ptb after folded and made into a tube were cut in a top to bottom direction halfway down the tube and around the tube maybe about 6 slots i will give this a try in the next 24 hours and let you know the results

ok so i pulled out the ptb far enough to cut slots half way down the tube and i went ahead and trimed the tube so it would be leval with the atomiser and there was a little more vapor still not bad vapor especialy if your more into the feel of vaping but all and all not the best way to go

i did see a site that sold 510 that had sheets of the polly fill stuff for sale cartomizers would work better with a thiner sheet of the stuff so it could be made into a tube but still thin enough to work well ill keep looking if any one finds any thing thin enough (polly fill) let us know

what about some thin quilt batting besides a thin fillter like there using from the fish tank i cant think of anything but thin quilt batting has any one thought of this

Well I am a quilter and the problem with that is that it's treated with flame ......ent. And if it's natural like wool.....you do not want that. Burning fur or hair has all kinds of toxic fumes in it....like cyanide gas. The only other option would be the organic 100% cotton batting. I don't know how that would work. Does anybody know what the stuff they use at the factories is? BTW....the flame ......ent thing is the same for other craft materiels like pillow stuffing and the stuff you would make dolls and animals out of. Unless it specifically says on the label that it's 100% organic or natural with no additives. And they also put some pretty nasty glues and chemical binders in quilt batting. I really would not do it. The 801 stuff was a disaster...as I'm sure everyone knew it would be It probably would have worked well if I could do the direct dripping thing...just leave the caps off the carto and add a few drops whenever you need it but for some reason the manual batteries I have are not sealed so I didn't want to risk it.

well i bought some quilt batting at walmart low loft cut a square about the size of a stamp and it looked good but didnt vape as well as the ptb i then cut another square and kind of sheered it to make it thiner and it was worse to me it has a harsh taste it wasnt bonded it was neddlepunched it did not say flame ......ent thats why i bought it but it just didnt do well im hoping the stuff thats suposed to be safe reacts difrently ive read putting strips of the blue foam around the atty might work but it was never updated i will try more things im not giving up but if some one has somthing that works well pleas chime in thank you
