So far so good. I believe 16v minimum is recommended for caps, but 10 should do. Some argue that you don't need any for a vaping application, but some is better than none.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Break tested without and said it gives a longer vaping time with. I may have that post confused with the 08100 tho but yeah he said he noticed a longer vape on same batts with caps.. I use caps on mine hits up to 37 watts (may go higher) with a lipo liion capable battery hugely underated on data sheet or on borrowed time.:D Using it everyday @24watts.

Love this mod.. Boosters so hard to find happy theres one that is awesome for us modders.
Heres a great addition for it. I am considering adding to a 4050 box mod
like Mamu's passthru with omnitester.

I just checked and the caps should be rated higher than twice your output voltage , so 10v is good for under 5v output and 16v caps to 8v output. Page 10 of the datasheet has recommended caps, including Kemets, just not those.

I fully agree with Visus about these boards, just got some more today along with a 8100. :) For myself the best feature is the small size as it allows much more compact builds. I personally prefer to forgo VV and set the voltage to 4.43 with a fixed resistor and just vary my coils. The 8100 gets the same treatment and is set to 4.6v for an even smaller build.

Visus a 1100 mAh twist sounds loooong. :) I don't recall the ID but I get it into a 15.1mm OD brass tube that has a thicker wall than the SS of an eGo, with caps and resistors and LED and a PTC fuse. It sounds like a similar fit to the ego tube. The 4050 can be pushed past its limits, but they dont last as long, on ones that have failed it seems to always be one of those SMD resistors has cooked, if I can find a cause...

I look forward to getting some VTC4's and purple efests to push these two chips, soon, soon. Right now I'm using red efests acquired last summer.

Cville, grab TWO. ;)
