Lmao we could have been here a longggg time before anyone thought to ask "are you pushing the button" oh man that really is priceless :D thanks for the laugh and welcome to ecf :)

I read extensively about this vaping thing. I read the ProVari site repeatedly. I read posts here from the newbies to the 6K posters. Nowhere did I read to push the freaking button! Yes, I doubt anyone would understand my technological deficiency well enough to say, 'press the freaking button, stupid!' I'm so glad I don't have to send it back to be fixed.

I love this thread.

Puffs, glad you got the vape going :vapor:
...Working on this since 4p.m. when the vapes arrived in the mail. That's another thing I learned today - how exciting it is to get vape mail! We got a new mail lady and we in the neighborhood call her Miss P (Miss Personality) because she hates all of us. But today I saw her slip my vape mail in the box and for the first time ever I gave Miss P a hearty wave. <G> Tomorrow I'm getting more vape mail, yippee! After 9 months of looking at this intimidating vaper thing sitting lonely in the chair, the summer heat finally motivated me to give this thing a whirl.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Puffs! One of the first questions I always ask DH when he is having 'puter issues: is it turned on? if it is turned on, when is the last time you rebooted? REBOOT now. One of the first things he asks me when the truck's electrical gremlins are chasing me around the dash lights: have you checked ALL the fuses? He has taught me to always go from the cheapest, most simple solution up the hierarchy of complexity. I am just tickled by how much fun you are having with your new toy! This is the best advertisement for that very expensive Provari that I have ever read. Vape on! :vapor::rickroll:

This ProVari mini came last November 2012. Tonight I thought I'd try it out. It doesn't work! I watched a youtube video on how to fill the cartomizer and did it the way they said. The battery, ohm reading, LED reading, all read in what I think is the proper range. Power reads 'on.' Batteries are fully charged. What on earth? Bad cartomizers?

I'm so glad you got it working and it's giving you a glorious vape! :)

BTW: I LOVE Puff! That takes me so back to my childhood! Even though a sad story - it brings good memories for me. A little PP&M for ya. :toast:

Played on the 8 track tape machine which was hanging (barely) below the dash of that ungawdly yellow Opel Kadet I had that never ran right. The year was 1970 something. The Opel didn't make it. I thought I wouldn't either. <G>

Puffs, I think that we're going to really enjoy havin' you around. Your posts are so genuine and honest and the descriptions you wrote gave me some really wonderful mental pictures. WELCOME to ECF!
When I think about all of you and how much you give of your time to help we floundering strangers, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Without all of you I would be breaking my teeth on expensive Nicorette gum.

The question is: HOW DO YOU STOP?

Take your finger off that button. ;)

Welcome to the wonderful and sometimes hysterical world of ECF! This thread has to be one of the funniest and cutest ever! Thank you for sharing so honestly. I'm sure you are not the first to do this. Glad it's working for you now!

Haven't read the replies past page 1 ...but just throwing this out there, did you power it on? (Po)

The display works without the device being "powered on". The ohms reader can be selected, but it's not firing the coil, so it reads "LO" or something strange, like "0.01".

Don't ask me how I know ...

Edit: Nevermind. heh

There is no way that you have a "carto" that is 1.1 ohm! The don't make them! So let's start over. How about a link to what you are trying to use on your Provari, because it sounds to me like the safety features of your Provari are working perfectly.

    edit:
No, I didn't read past page #1

So, puff, what's next for you now that button pushing is one your skills? Microwave cookery? Maybe using an ATM? (I'm not kidding about the ATM thing, my grandfather had me teach him how, said he didn't want to die without figuring out that blasted money machine)

Thanks for the best thread I've read all week. I can totally see an ear-to-ear grin obscured by clouds of vapor! :)
