YouTube - Part 1 - Pulling a CE2 Cartomizer Apart

So i just did this... pulled somfin apart allright. My battery!!!!!

Used a dead batt, so no harm done, but still...... CE2's just suck.... Tried all the tips i can find on youtube and the thing is STILL tasting like crap...
What i did find, though, is that its not a wicking prob... that coil is saturated. The juice was comming up fine.. Just tastes foul..

Noo m8, auto batts dont like adaptors.. At best, they become airyer. Im just hanging in there, with ivapours Boge 2,8, until somthing happens... Somthings bound to happen.

Just thought someone might come along with a suggestion for the rest of my ce2's. At least you get a great ekstra tip with it.

Funny thing though... Ce2's are horizontal coil, its just sitting in the other end. And the end cap, is the exact one, Kanger uses on their horizcartos.... weird.

Gotcha - I've only used adapters on my manuals now that you mention it.

Did you try dry burning them? I read somewhere someone suggested doing that to get rid of the taste, I think its something they use in the manu process.

I tried dry burning some w/ my USB passthrough. Didn't help. soaked em in vinegar and rinsed with hot water too. still nasty. had the stainless ones so I couldn't take them apart to try burning the wick with a butane lighter (not that I have one of those either).

The clear ones, you can pull off the clear tube and wash them in hot tap water, dry the wicks with a towel and do a dry burn on the coil and you can see what you are doing, before you put it back together. Just push the button on your battery until you get a glow (just a few seconds) push it again and watch the coil and when it gets bright stop and do until you see the coil is turning orange real fast and you see a gray ash on the coil. Then rinse again and dry the wicks, put back together (Slip the tube back on) fill it with the needle and put a few drops on the coil and watch it soak in. This primes the coil, let sit for 5 mins and it is like new. They come apart very easy and when you put the tube back on make sure it slides all the way down.
Look on the ECF Forum to see how to take the clearomizers apart and clean. With the metal tubes you can't really take them apart and put them back together. HOPE this helps.

cant get them in EU yet.... And my ce2's were comepletely full.. wick was saturated in juice.... and still nasty taste..arent the clears exactly the same inside?

THey are the same you just can't get the damn things apart. I nearly broke a batt doing what you were trying to do, pull apart a non-clear ce2. I could have gone back and ordered the clears and pulled em apart and maybe successfully done all that but I just don't think I should have to go through all that effort so I didn't order anymore.

I think your wasting your time unless you clean the entire wick. I was able to dry burn the heck out of mine but to no avail. i think the key part is getting it apart and cleaning the whole wick and/or burning it with a very hot lighter. well, i can't say for positive that will succeed just that i've tried everything i've read except the parts about cleaning the wick because i cannot get mine apart.

I havent kept tryin.. the last 3 are sitting in the box ...havent wasted more juice on them... and HATE the needle filling thing.. i use dripperbottles, so its just a hassle anyway.... Its so freakin weird the best horiz cartos are gone with no trace.... LF had alot on stock, i certainly didnt get to buy them all.. where are the others who tried em... not on ecf, thats for shure...
