Pure Nicotine Question

Yes I did see the warning on the Forums page saying to never buy pure nicotine.......

Anyways I know that if you add 1% of pure nicotine into the amount of liquid you are trying to make then that is 10mg strength nicotine level.

However I was thinking if that is correct (I'm like 99% sure it is) then I would have to add only 1ml of nicotine to 100ml of base to get a 10mg strength e-liquid.

Is that right, is nicotine really that potent?

Your math is correct. 1% = 10 mg, 10% = 100 mg, etc. If you buy a 48 mg nic solution it is 4.8%, 24 mg is 2.4%. It is just a straight-up ratio.

1mg is 0.001 grams. 0.1% of a gram.
10 mg (10 milligrams) is 0.010 grams. Which is 1% of a gram.
100mg is 0.100 grams. 10% of a gram

1 gram is approx 1 milliliter.


so eg: 24mg per milliliter is
0.024 grams per gram
which is 24/1000 = 2.4/100 = 2.4%
