for the OP: The legacy is a rock solid mod....its going to feel very heavy and substantial in your hand...you could roll over the thing with an 18 wheeler and its not going to break, yes, its that heavy duty...its fully mechanical with no wires, no switches, etc...the battery is simply advanced to a contact point to complete the circuit

the only think i could ever imagine breaking is maybe the spring or the screw that goes into the top

for the rest of you guys...the legacy's post is easily adjustable...its a screw...take a small screw driver, give it half a turn to raise it slightly

I have had the same problem but only 2 out of 10 cartos wouldn't thread on to my Legacy. Those 2 cartos worked fine on other devices.

I tried about a dozen at the local shop. All did the same. I can get them to work by bringing the post supper high on the Legacy. Thats not too bad. I picked up a pack of Kanger cartos. They fit great. I'm not a fan though. Feel like they have a funky taste to them and the get hot!

:confused:Has anyone had an issue with their Legacy and a kick? After about an hour or so mine doesn't fire every time I hit the switch. I have to find a sweet spot on the switch and press it pretty hard, then I can sometimes get a good drag off it. It doesn't do this on a full battery. Full battery fires great. Any help on this would be great!

I have a Kicked Legacy 18650, and the only time I've had any issues is when I neglect to clean the threads and contact points regularly (like, once a week) ... the Kick is very sensitive to having a solid ground path. Clean everything and Noalox the threads on everything, including the switch. In particular, take the switch completely apart and be sure the hexagonal post in the switch is clean (this is the part of the switch that is most likely to pick up dirt and grit, since it's exposed at the bottom of the switch).

I'll give that a try. Have a feeling its not going to help me. It's done this since I've had it. I watched a review on the Adam mod and it had the same issue.

Yes, and that is why I am going to sell my Legacy. I don't particularly want to do LR vaping at 3.7v so the Kick is a must for me. As one person mentioned above, good connections are important when using the Kick. It needs to be above 3.5v to work. As soon as the voltage drops, it goes into its stutter mode. ANY resistance in the mod will lower the voltage under load. Once it gets to that magic 3.5v mark, the problems begin.

I love the Kick, but it can be a pain. Clean threads and contacts in your device are imperative. I use dielectric grease sometimes to improve conductivity. What I have found is, unfortunately, the Kick works better in some mods than others. It does a decent job in the Bombshell Stinger, but every so often it will act up. I have to give the Stinger a pop on the bottom with my palm to get it working again, or I just unscrew the cap and then tighten it again.

Out of all my pv's that I use the Kick in, the Legacy is by far the worst. Which one is the best? You won't believe this one. For me, the Kick works best in my cheap and inexpensive Bolt... by a country mile.

It wasn't that way at first. It wouldn't fire with the Kick at all until I used a file to remove the excess enamel finish at the seam where the top and bottom cap meet. Every since I did that, it is the Kick champ.

Anyone want to buy a barely used Legacy? Don't get me wrong. It is a nice device. It's well made, and it looks great. It's just not for me.

Anyone had any engraving done on the tube? I like the looks of the Legacy but it's kind of plain looking. I thought that some lines or patterns engraved on it may liven it up a bit. Does that sound stupid? I like the lines on the Provari but I really don't want or need another hybrid.

Completely agree. I've been seriously considering it, and a few decorative lines won't necessarily keep me away. In fact, as far as I've found, there's a serious lack of offerings in this price range. $50~ dollar range has some, $140/200+ has some, but this guy at around $80 is mighty tempting.
