I have a buddy of mine who convinced to switch to e-cigs for health reasons. Well, being stupid, I did not research anything and went to my local smoke shop and bought a PureSmoke menthol starter pack for $50. I thought it was alright, not the best taste but not the worse but what ...... me off is that it only came with one battery, it only lasts me like an hour or so and it takes 3 hours to charge.

So I was chilling with my friend who convinced me and he brought his e-cig. It was more like an e-pipe. The battery was super thick and black and had a button to activate it and stuff, but the coolest thing was that he had a bunch of e-liquid stuff and he could just put different flavors in the mouth piece of his. He told me I got screwed spending that money without getting more than one battery and he said the atomizer was crap and it was too difficult to replace the liquid without replacing the mouth piece/cartridge.

Well, now I don't know really what to do. I don't think I can return the PureSmoke cig because I've used up most of the cartridges and I don't know where the receipt is, but would it be a waste to just buy a better one? I figure I guess I could use this one and order a nicer one online and use both, the PureSmoke one when the other is charging or something.

But I do a few questions: What are some nicer e-cigs that arn't too expensive and can allow one to refill by just dropping drops of liquid into the mouth piece? Where online can I or should I order from? Where can I buy flavored liquids from? Is the PureSmoke really that bad? Can I refill the PureSmoke cartridges? Is there any batteries or mouth pieces/cartridges I can order online that with fit my current e-cig to make it better? Sorry I'm new to all this and I don't really know what I'm doing. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Check out Liberty Flights for hardware, use coupon code: ecf or click the 20% off link at the top of the page. If you want to just drip liquid in you'll need a drip tip as well. For liquids check out Backwoods Brew, FreedomSmokeUSA, Gourmet Vapors, or any of the many other suppliers at the bottom part of the main page.

You should also take some time to watch MistressNomad's videos in the stickies on the New Members page, she explains just about everything in detail for beginners.

if your just getting started i wouldnt worry about a drip tip, thats for dripping on the atty, and really if you wanna do that you dont have to have just pull the filler out of one of your carts drip a few drops on the atty and put the cart on and vape away. but if i read it right you were talking about dripping into the carts and the riva comes with 10 empty carts that you can put whatever flavor of liquid you want in them

Cool, thanks for all the help. So I'm deciding between the riva 510 and 901. Are the only differences the atomizers? I think I head 510s produce more vapor but are hotter and kill your batteries faster. Is that true? And for dripping into carts, how does that work? Like the PureSmoke one has a funky foam ring in each cart that if removed you can put juice in there but it is annoying to replace the foam ring. Are the carts used on the riva models easier to refill? And should I order off of liberty flight's website or somewhere else? Thanks again for the help.

First the Riva kit on Liberty Flights is hard to beat. Because you're new and no one mentioned it. It's a 510. You'll see why that's important in a minute. Yes, get extra atomizers. Yes, get a drip tip. That's what your friend had from your description. I would add some Boge cartomizers to that order. Just get the regular ones not LR. Remember 510 when you're looking at drip tips and cartomizers. You can use that Riva with all 510 and eGo accessories. Browse a bit, you'll see lots to pique your curiosity.

You'll need juice get a variety of flavors and nic levels in small sizes.

Cool, thanks so much. One last question. What is the point of a cartomizer? Like I read it was like a fusion of the atomizer and the cartridge, but can you use a cartomizer and atomizer at the same time? Thanks.

No you can't use them both at the same time. However, you're new I was giving you a cheap way to help you find what you like best.

cartomizer is disposable combined atomizer and cart that holds more juice and doesn't need juice added as often. if you keep one damp it may last for 4-7 days or longer. I get 2 weeks use out of some cartomizers. I think most people end up using dripping or cartomizers or tanks.

Re Riva 510 or 901 - 510 threading has more stuff available for it. 510 is the threading with the most stuff available for it - the most variety of atomizers and cartomizers. With either you can use an adapater and use the other one's stuff - you could put a 510 to 901 adapter on the Riva 510 and use a 901 atty if you want, and vice versa. If you want the most variety without needing to use an adapter, get 510.
