This would be for a lawyer to answer, but I don’t believe customs has the power to confiscate anything. As the product is not technically in Canada until customs allows it to pass, and it would be in a bonded warehouse, it would still remain property of the sender and technically be in the country of origin.
Who are you yelling at?

I don't believe you asked that question Rob :)

LOL Hey there is always time to rethink and adjust theories. ;)

I'm asking because I'm starting to re-think what is really going on.. You know how I thought it would be big business that would want to take control and stomp out the small guy. However I don't see how imposing a ban is going to help with that, they would have to overcome the ban themselves if they wanted to sell the product. It would be shooting themselves in the foot. I would think they would want regulation not prohibition.

So who stands to gain from the ban (which is where I am lost) and figuring that out will show what angle they have. Some lady on 60 minutes rambling on about FDA stuff, as I'm sure you know, isn't the full story, whats in it for her is the question.. (thanks for the background there, I was completely lost as to were it was coming from, as I didn't watch that 60 mins)

Another thought..

With the tobacco settlements of 1999 where the big tobacco companies agreed to pay the states around 200 billion over 25 years, many of the states cashed out for a lump sum rather than waiting 25 years to get their money. Our friends on Wall Street issued tobacco settlement debentures, to raise the money and offer an investment product, to make them money.

If big tobacco was harmed by e-cigarettes and was not able to pay the settlements, the debentures would become worthless and some folks would loose their investment, or even the threat would devalue the debentures.. We are talking about over 5 billion per year…

Wonder if that is what this is all really about? Wall Street is in New York…

She receives grants from GSK.

IMHO there are 3 things in play:

  • loss of tax revenue. It is said that e cigs is a $100M + business in the states alone;
  • Big Pharma is loosing treatment money and drugs from curing smoke related illness; and
  • BT well they are loosing their market share between vapin, it's bad for you, high prices and taxes. They had a loop hole smokeless tobacco, but the pACT Act took care of that.
It's all about money, and yeah, Wall St is a big player.

...and SOMEBODY voted in a socialist here as President. Public Health Care is first, PVs next, ALL "HEIL" BIG GOVERNMENT... More BS to follow. Public Health Care in Canada probably has something to do with this directly, AND indirectly!

First of all, its an ECF requirement to remove head from sphincter before posting.

Second, do you have a point?

Why blame a system that has worked for so many years, simply because of your own phobias.

Post in OUTSIDE, not here.

Big Kiss.

When I first starting vaping I was under the false impression that I couldn't get nicotine juice in Canada. I went my first two weeks just using the menthol juice that came with my starter kit. After that ran out (and after learning a lot more about e cigs) I bought a 120ml bottle of VG for $5 from a grocery store, $20 worth of artificial flavours (Peppermint, orange, almond, vanilla, coconut and maple) again from my grocery store, and a bottle of vodka (not from the grocery store). I got a bunch of little bottles from a Bodyshop store, and some 3ml syringes from the pharmacy and went to town.

At about ten days the nic craving hit, and hit hard. I had patches left over from a previous quit attempt, so I slapped one on and kept vaping.

Then, after some more research, I learned about happyvaper.com (better flavours), and electronic-cigz.com and viecs.com, both of which sell nic juice.

So now I make all sorts of flavours at all sorts of nic levels. I refer to my kitchen as Willy Wonka's .... Lab. But my one of my favourite juices is still one of the first I came up with. I call it Winter Orange. 20% Orange extract, 10% Peppermint/mint extract, 10% vodka, 60% VG, 0 nic. Throat hit comes from the peppermint/mint. Everything's available at your local grocer. Cost per 30ml? I'd say about $2.00.

I'm of two minds about nic vs. no nic. I loves my nic buzz, but I'm not a big fan of the nic throat hit. My first few vapes of the day on nicquid hurt my throat and make me cough. I have to beat my throat into submission before I can vape nic smooth. Often it ruins what would otherwise a fantastic juice.

Peppermint, menthol and cinnamon all give throat hits. One day I'll probably ween myself off the nicotine altogether. And now that I'm starting to make my own mods, the world can ban e cigs, but they'll never stop me vaping.
