Some people use tweezers, paperclips, etc to remove filler material and plastic tips from their carts/cartos. I use a classic standard pushpin (not the decorative kind.) A pushpin cart tool will not deform or break like a paperclip. It does not take up a lot of space like tweezers and is cheaper. It is small and strong. I put a plastic screw thread protector over the thumb end so I could see it easier (my pushpin was clear color) and it makes it a thicker area to hold easier.
The pushpin cart tool is easy to clean off with a napkin, etc. It easily fits inside my tiny Altoids Smalls tin I carry in my pocket. It can even take up less space in the tin if I put the actual metal tip point inside a spare atomizer that I also carry in my tin.
