It's funny when I look back at how I got to this point.
I love animals, but I never wanted the responsibility of owning one as an adult.
I live a very happy, self serving, and carefree bachelor lifestyle... come & go as I please.
Last minute road trip? Sure, why not. No anchors, no ties holding me down whatsoever.
Enter a woman...
...and then a dog.
Flash forward and long story short; the woman is long gone and the dog is here to stay.
I got over the girl, but now I couldn't quite possibly even begin to picture my life without the dog.
It is funny how life works out in spite of our best laid plans. Mans best friend? Absofrigginlutely!

I wholeheartedly agree with you brother! I was the one there when our 14 year old Golden, Eli had to be put to rest 6 years ago. It's still a reallytough time having a new dog in our life...

Ah, well, Scots on both sides of the family, one side exiled a few generations ago because they wouldn't stop raiding and other normal activities. The other side (like many others) after Culloden. You find out all sorts of interesting things if you go back far enough. Have not managed to be tamed yet and no plans for it.
