I'm a 1st timer, looking to get off of analogs and switch to an e-cig. I've tried to do as much research as I can and finally came up with my first order. I'm looking to order all from one place so I am using gotvapes.com.

Here is my order:

1.
GotVapes StartMeUp! New Vaper COMPLETE Kit - Pass Throughhttp://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?m...ducts_id=853:bfbc7145a0ae7c0cdd4b534080b178d1

-One Genuine joyetech eGo 1000mah Pass-Through Battery
-(2)GotVapes easy-to-fill Stardust™ clear eGo cartomizers
- case, charger, etc.

2. (1)Genuine Joyetech eGo-C 1000mah TWIST Variable 3.2v-4.8v - BLACK

3. (1) Kanger T2 Replaceable Top Coil 2.4ml eGo Clearo 2.2ohm - SMOKEY

Will this work well for a first timer? Any things I should add? Thanks!

PS.. anyone know and B&M places in the Inland Empire, CA?

Welcome to the ECF, chemd36!

Looks like a pretty awesome setup to me. Should do you quite well, especially if you work at a computer a lot (the pass-through) and can vape at it. GV's prices on that stuff are not really the best though. You can get a genuine Joyetech eGo Twist for $28 from GoodProphets.com and other places.

I've heard good things about the Kanger T3 so you might want to check it out first.

Hi chemd36,
I would look at the E-Z Bundles at VaporCigzz.com
You will save money on Joyetech and Vision. Ive ordered 3 times and all 3 times they shipped the same day. Their in NJ.

You're getting 2 clearomizers in your kit.

Why not get a box of cartomizers to make sure you're not going to like them better instead of the extra Kanger T2 clearomizer?

Then, go to Deals and Steals topic here and look for somebody having sales on juice. :) You'll need more than what is in that starter kit I think.

You could shop around for better prices but I see you just want to order from one place and have chosen so it looks good to me.

On the subject of battery passthroughs: Avoid plugging them into your computer. There is very little up side and a very ugly downside--fried motherboard.

Never plug a direct(batteryless) passthrough into any computer. Make sure that the USB port that you do plug it into is rated at 2amps.

I think the batt in the kit is a charger pass-through so it should be cool to use on a computer...it just charges the batt but you vape off the batt, not the USB like a battery-less pass-through. But, if you're worried about it, just use the computer to charge and vape the other batt while it's charging up.

thanks for bringing this up. 100% true.
Best to purchase a USB hub that plugs into wall, and run all your USB devices off it. (camera, passthru, etc.)

Thank you for that tip, I was thinking to charge it in my laptop, but maybe I'll just avoid using the passthrough battery then. Thanks.

Thank you all for all the great tips. I found a local store and may just go there today, instead of placing an online order. Decisions decisions...
