Can't post anywhere but here for now, so here goes:
I've been a vapista now for a whopping total of a month. Pretty happy with my supplies so far (I'm rocking KR808 batts from V4L, a KR8 manual pass-through and an eGo passthrough, plus juices from 3 vendors). The only thing that was missing was some sweet gear to hold my new best friends, either at my desk or on the go.
Saw a few things, but nothing is quite right. Leather/macrame (sp?) lanyards are practical, but aesthetically, they don't really do it for me. And yeah, I'm a girl, so I considered a jewelry-type lanyard, like one on LeCig, but there's something about them that makes me feel like I'm wearing a rosary and praying to the gods of vapedom. (But hey — I'm not "judgy." If that's your thing, that's cool.)
Since I'm an amateur knitter, sewer and jewelry hobbyist, I figure I could make some cute stuff. I'm no expert at any of it really, but necessity is the mother of invention, so I've been playing around. So far, I knitted an e-cig sock (kind of like an iPod sock, but smaller). I've got a top-loading box fitted to contain each of my ecigs, which holds them up like little samurai swords, plus a wooden "vape vase," which lets me contain my cartos and batts in one place. It's all pretty simple, and I'm fairly happy with this so far, though none are quite perfect yet.
Thoughts? Is there a desktop holder, pen clip, or lanyard type of thing you only wish was available? Or maybe some other cool accessory you could use? Or are you thrilled with what you've got now? (And if so, please tell — what is it and where'd you get it?)
At this point, I'm mostly interested in finding the perfect way to carry my stuff around that looks cool, not cheesy.
I'm considering getting one of these single cases/clips. What I'm wondering is if I should "hack" it with beads or rhinestones for a little bling, or leave its simple sleek looks alone? Or does that look a bit too nerdy, like the equivalent of a pocket protector or something? (I work in technology, so believe me when I say that I'm hyper aware of cool geek chic vs. nerdware
) What do you think?
