PV in freezing temperatures

There's got to be a few people here in the colder climates that have experienced this. How do PVs perform at below freezing temperatures?

I would think the cold temperatures could turn the liquid into more of a gel, which might gum up the atty before it can melt and vaporize them, but then again it might not work that way. Any insight?

Colder temperatures will make your e-liquid thicker. That is why it is thicker coming out of the fridge. If you let it get to room temperature it thins back out.

I understand that. But how does a pv perform when you're outside, and the temperature is below freezing?

Doesn't affect the PV at all that I have seen.

My husband does construction and today was around low 30's, Tonight I'm having trouble getting batteries charged, could the freezing temps possibly ruin these batteries? Actually, I'm not sure if it's that they're not charging, or if it something else with the battery switch, if I draw real hard when I inhale on it, it works for a little bit, then quits again, idk. All three batteries he took with him today, were outside all day in the cold, I re-charged them, and all 3 are acting weird.

Does anyone know how low temps affect lithium batteries, or e-cig battery switches? He just switched to e-cig 6 days ago, I'd hate for something like this to send him back to tobacco.
