I have a sigelei 50watt vw box mod. Quite often the ohm fluxes to 8+ which makes the volts Flux to 6+, which takes a fully charged battery down to about 25%. I was concerned if this draws more amps from the battery. I never vape when it's that high, only way I found to fix it is pushing the fire button for a nano second and it readjusts itself, sometime down to 5, other times back down to whayever I'm actually set at. It'll stay there for quite some time or it'll continue fluxing for 10 fires. I emailed sigelei back it, but no response yet.

You mean watt fluctuation? Ohms are the reading of your coil's resistance and that should be fixed. Volts and watts can be moved up or down in relation to your coil.

Has this happened with every coil you have in there? Is it a DNA30 or DNA40 board in the device? DNA40's have had problems....Try a new coil...???

Currently only have an aspire nautilus, and every coil I've used does this. And yes it ohms, which fluxes the volts.

If ohms do jump up higher and this a rebuildable atty, that is usually caused by a screw working loose. So double check all your connections.

Both sides of the battery,
Both sides of the coil
atty to mod
If all the connections are solid then problem lies in the electronics.

If I'm reading this correctly, your mod can take a fully charged battery down to only a 25% charge quickly, If so stop using it, draining a battery that fast is not safe.

It's not a rebuildable, I wasn't concerned with an aspire nautilus around 10 watts. From what I've researched on this problem is that it's in most of these devices, they made a v2 to fix it. I've checked all my connection numerous times and everything is proper.

It could be the coil but it could be from a connection at any point including the 510 connection point and the atomizer seat in the Nautilus. I would look at the 510 connection first. Doesn't the Nautilus have a spring loaded positive pin?

It does, I've also raised the connection on the mod so that I know the connection is strong.

Yeah, stop using this mod. Ohms should be fixed, if a 1.8 ohm Aspire head runs all over the place that is a board error. 1.8 is 1.8 it doesn't change. Watts and volts change with the head so a 1.5 ohm head will change watts and volts and a 2.5 ohm head will as well. If your ohm's heads are all over the place then that is something very wrong.

I would look for a thread on your device in other places on ECF and see if this has happened to others and if they have help for you.

Everyone says it's the 510 connection, only repairable with replacing with the v2. I don't have a backup device and I've been using it this way for 4-6 weeks.

This is scary Jeffrey, buy an eGo from somewhere and get this fixed. Thermal runaway is nothing to be messed with!

I am relieved nothing has gone wrong in that amount of time, but very concerned! this is not a good thing.. please stop using this device for your own safety!

A problem with a 510 means your not getting a good connection. Continual stressing of batteries will greatly shorten their useful life.

Just because something has worked in the past does not mean it's safe or a good idea, just ask any paramedic how many people they transport say "but I've done it that way 100 times"

Contacted the place I got it from, now need to send it to the qarranty company. Gotta pay shipping and and service fee. How stupid.. plus I don't have my receipt anymore so I probably have to pay the warranty out of pocket. Sigh

I think that's a buncha bull- known safety issues shouldn't have a service fee to fix!

did you buy online or at a store? either one should have a copy of your receipt available.

Dug through my email and found it, but I don't have a printer lol. It only changed under load kent. Mine isn't nearly as bad as the one in that video. Usually stays around 3 ohms but jumps to the 5 or 6 ohms and 7 or 8 volts. Now I gotta buy a couple egos or something and be without my mod for a few weeks I'm sure at the min wi5h the holidays. Just got my dripper in the mail yesterday too :( Im so frusrated!
