PV Theft

So far I've only seen one case and it was a Provari stolen off a desk at work recently... sad.... but it got me wondering. As vaping becomes more and more mainstream and these devices can get pricey, there's most likely going to be more theft. There was with cell phones until measures were taken to stop it. What do you do when out and about or at work to protect your device from those with sticky fingers?

I wouldn't leave my Provari alone in a public place where it could be picked up. I seldom take it out and about because I don't want to lose it. When I do take it I leave it locked in my car and just use my eGo V2.

People will steal anything,,,I had an antibiotic stolen off my desk at work once,,,,,,,,they probably thought it was something better,,I admit to getting a chuckle out of imagining their disappointment,,,,,,,,

with that said, no way am I leaving it where it can get stolen,,,,,,,when I go back to work, I'm using a lanyard. EOS.

I wouldn't be surprised to see something in the future where these devices can hit a wifi and send a homing beacon. More so as devices have long term batteries.

I have two pockets on the inside of my coat. Extra battery on my right side, provari on my left (so I can grab it with my right hand)

My place of work has cameras everywhere so if someone decided to get into my coat pocket at work and steal my device I'd just have to go to Loss prevention and they would be on candid camera

I keep them with me. Otherwise they're stored in an area inaccessable to anyone other than those that I trust. But that's precaution I take with all of my possessions and not just the PVs.

I keep mine in my breast pocket at all times! Granted, I use cheapo units on the go an save my prize possessions for the sofa at home.

im not sure if id be ok with it or angry. its an expensive piece of equipment so initally that would most def tick me off but on the other hand it may help someone quit smoking.

This is exactly why I like working for a small company. I could leave a hundred dollar bill on my desk and have no fear of it being taken. That's why I leave my VTR out all day. Now, when I'm in the field visiting a customer, that's another story.

i work in a small company and i would definitely know who stole it. either my boss or my coworker and neither of them vapes/smokes. but i pretty much keep it in my pocket all the time anyways.

The PV thief would have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers! Maybe the next generation of APV will have GPS and we'll have an app similiar to Find My Iphone/Ipad.
