So ive heard more than once that if you use a mint/peppermint etc type ejuice you basically cant ever get the taste out of that tank....so my Q is, is there anything I can do to prevent this or should I just figure whatever tank I put that juice in is gonna be ruined for any other juice? would it matter if it was glass instead of plastic? or if i changed the atty out of it?

thanks for the help!

Haven't found to be a problem when I'm changing juice I tend to was out the coil with boiling water and leave in a cup usually doing this about 4-5 times, the tank being same give it a good wash, you may get a hint of the old flavour for a while but generally it's gone and get the taste of fresh juice.

You can use the cleaner used for CPU's to which completely dissolves all juice and wash it but again on the first few hits you get the taste of the cleaner.

Most strong flavors can be got out simply by rinsing in hot water as stylezuk mentioned. You could also try soaking the atty in vodka for a few hours to help get it out.

I would recommend glass as it's easier to clean.

I have an absinthe juice that tainted a pro-tank I had for weeks. It didn't matter how much I cleaned it or washed it out, I could still taste the absinthe. Eventually it faded over time but it did last a good few weeks.

Most mints and menthols I have used are no where as strong as that absinthe juice and can be rinsed away.

Finally, I wouldn't recommend using any solvents other cleaners to clean out a clearo - I would be too scared of vaping residues.

Any time you have a problem with lingering aromas or smells, use white vinegar. It doesn't just work on vaping equipment, it's the ultimate deodorizer everywhere.

For my tanks, I use a 2:1 water/vinegar soak. Soak your tanks and heads, disassembled, for an hour or two. You can leave them longer, but the chinsy plating on internal parts will discolor. Not a biggie, just unsightly. Once your soak is done, rinse your equipment good, dry or dry burn, and reassemble.

I've gotten pie crust flavoring out of my tanks with that method, it works.
