I just picked up a PCC and am wondering the following:

First, the manual says that the PCC light "A" will be lit while the cig is charging. I had to stick a little rubber bumper on top of the batt to push it down far enough to get the thing to charge (problem 1). Anyway, light "A" came on solid red. A while later, light "A" started to blink.

Now, here is where I am confused.

If you watch this vid below, the guy says that light "A" will light up red when charging and blink when done, which is what my unit seems to do.

(I can't post the link because I do not have 15 posts, but if you search here on the forum, there is a guy from the UK doing a video review of the Titan PCC, and says the following: "light "A" is lit when charging and blinks when done charging")

But, thats not what my manual says it will do. Again, the manual says light "A" will shut off.

Further info. My PCC does charge both manual and auto batt's. There is not any groove's or anything, the hole is simply larger. Both my manual and auto batt are the exact same size, unlike the video review by the same guy above which said the manual batt was larger then the auto batt. I guess they did a design change on the batts?

Here is the issue with the light blinking. Other PCC's, like the one made by the Blu e-cig say to unscrew the batt after charging because if you do not, the light will not go off and it will drain the PCC batt as well as poss mess up the e-cig batt. The joy PCC (TW-PCC) does not use a screw, rather the case top holds the cig down to charge. Again, in my PCC, the hole for the batt is too deep, and thus I needed to add the rubber thing as a spacer to further push down the e-cig batt so that it makes contact with the charging point. I would love to glue in that spacer and be done with it, but if when the cig is fully charged, it needs to be not making contact with the charging point so that it will not drain the PCC further, then I can not glew the spacer in!

If the damn PCC light "A" would go off when the e-cig batt was fully charged (Like the manual says it should), I would be much more comfortable with this situation. In that case, I would assume joy put in a kill switch that would stop all power to the charging point after the e-cig was fully charged, thus not unecessarily draining the PCC batt or overcharging the e-cig. But, because the light stays lit and blinks, it HAS to be draining the PCC batt, if nothing more then to keep ruinning that blinking LED (or at worse, overcharging the e-cig or draining the PCC batt)

At first i thought I had a bum PCC, but after watching that review that said the light should blink when the e-cig batt is done charging, now I am wondering if the instruction manual is just wrong.

Any help with this? I cant figure out how someone was smart enough to come up with the e-cig, but this damn PCC has to go through 4+ rev before they can get it right. Its not rocket science... To me it seems like they just half-assed the PCC.

Hi Thalinor,
Here is a link that might help you out a little bit. Also, with my PCC I've noticed that some of my batteries, usually the manuals, are just a little bit shorter than some and I have to add a little bit of cardboard in the lid for them to make the proper contact. Anyway, here is the link and if it doesn't give you enough info you can ask there.:)
What's a PCC ?
