You know... I think I read in the modder's forum that someone just shaved it (the button, with a razor blade) down to just below the body of the battery, and it worked out well.

The newer PCC's already have a slot cut out for manual batteries. Mine does and I got it from E-Smokey Treats:

No reason to carry a spare battery because you can just trickle charge the one battery when you finish vaping and it won't overcharge the battery. You can also leave the cart on the atty that you store in it +2 spare carts. I haven't run the PCC battery dead once yet.

Boy, I'm glad I asked. Tire gauge clip or shave flush. You folks don't mess around :)

Saw post on 510 cases. I made a case for two complete 510's (broken in half) by taking out the mold in a DSE901 case and making a mold for the 510 parts using kid's black modeling compound. Dries in a couple of days.
Really small and thin footprint--which is what I wanted in my pants pocket.

I'll still be carrying spare bats in the pouch though, along with 510 carts and topoff stuff (in my car). So I will still be making one of the mods that my fellow "vapor people" suggested.

hello evryone, this is my first post ( literally, I've never joined or posted on an internet forum before ). after bouncing around and reading this forum the past week and a half or so, I decided to buy the Joye 510 from Widows and I love it. Since I got it 3 days ago I've gone from 2 packs a day / for the past 25 years to 6 cigs in 3 days ( all fisrt thing in the morning with my coffee ). I learned alot on this forum and was confident in making my purchase. I've been able to avoid most of the little problems associated with the 510 due to all the comments and posts I've read so far. What a great site this is. My Questions are, 1.) does anyone sell a good carry case for the 510 and accessories or are we left to find and modify our own? and 2.) is there a passthrough available that I can use in the car with a cig lighter?
I did like the Idea of the tire gauge clip, I had just mentioned that to someone earlier today and was going to try it. I was thinking of an ink pen clip at the time but a tire gauge sounds alot better.

Here is a picture of a case I used to carry. My wife has one just like it for her 510 stuff (I dont have a pic of that one).

I use a tire gauge clip that arches over the button. Keeps the button from being pressed.

Thank you so much for the pic!! All this time, I kept thinkng "how in world is the clip going to protect the button" D'oh! Now I get it!! LOL

I know this probably doesn't apply to the OP, but I have a little side pocket in my purse that I was keeping my 510 in, but was afraid that while walking around the festival grounds, I'd squeeze my purse too hard & accidentally push down the button.

I ended up getting a little cigar tube and the 510 fit perfectly in it. On top of that, the lady working there got all excited when she realized it was an e-cig and wanted me to "do it!" to show her that it really does work LOL.

Of course, if you want to keep it small and in your pocket, the tire gauge clip is the way to go. Or, get the tube and people can as you "Is that a cigar in your pocket..........":)

hmmm...I'll have to think about the tire gauge clip.

I've only had an accidental activation once but it was a long one (I actually felt it burning my thigh).

Funny enough, the atty worked tons better after...heaps of vapor and a nice light pull.
Looking for a case that I can wear on my pants belt, something like a cell phone case but a little larger, but not to big, should be compact for all my vaping needs. The size of a palm pilot would be about right. Has anyone seen something like this before, if yes, where ? Please copy and paste the link. Thanks

Innovapor sells a modified Pelican case that's 3.3x5x1, water resistant, etc that holds 2 510s, a usb charger 2 carts and a 3ml juice bottle. Don't think it has a belt clip, but should fit in pocket. Waiting for mine. Can't paste links yet - just search for Innovapor.

I use a black cellphone cloth case which has a cord that hangs around your neck. I guess this is available in most cellphone accessory shops.
I carry 4 batteries and a 10ml juice bottle in it.
In this way, the switches do not get activated.
I also carry a small thin cellphone in it and a bit of cash.
The 4 batteries last me around 6 hours when I'm out. More than that, I bring the PCC.

Based on my experience so far, four batteries for six hours is the first reasonable estimate I have seen, assuming you are talking about continuous use.

Would you not expect more than six hours given you vaped every half hour?

I have a thin pocket case. I remove the mold from inside of it and create my own mold. I will be making a new mold for three 510 batteries, one atomizer and one cartridge for topping off.

I'll carry a fourth battery in a separate pouch that I keep in my car. As a spare and to use when I get home while the other three are re-charging.

I won't be happy until I get the routine down so well that I can do it in my sleep :)
