I just ordered a sampler pack of their 'new" flavors and it's on its' way now. Should have it by tomorrow or saturday. Will fill you in, however, I've never had any of their "old" flavors other then Tenn Cured, so I really don't have much to compare to. But, I'll at least tell you what I think. Also I ordered their "reduced PG" sampler pack.

It's me again, I just opened up the envelope from JC, and before I even open up any of the flavors, I have to comment on the package. Now this thing cost 20 bucks($26 with shipping), and to give you and idea HOW SMALL the sample pack actually is; It comes in a decorative round tin(Nice enough) that is 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep(pretty friggin small). Even with the small size of the tin they managed to fit in plastic bag filled with 10- 2inch droppers and ALL 10 sample vials. So for all those wondering why they don't mention the SIZE of the samples on their website, it's because they've charged you $20 bucks for 20 ml's of liquid. Each vial is a measly 2ml's!!!!!! Not much of sample. I'll be back later on with the flavor reviews.

I loved JC "Peach Cobbler". Has anyone tried Summer Peach?

I liked cobbler because of good throat hit to go along with the flavor. Can I expect the same with PG-only Summer Peach?

Thanks,
:) Dave

Ok, I haven't tried the summer peach yet, but I know you also said you were interested in the French Vanilla, and I did try that. Now, as I said before, i NEVER previously tried their peach cobbler or their French vanilla ice cream, so this is more of a new product review rather then a comparison. Also, I got the 18mg Reduced PG sampler pack. Ok, French Vanilla. I've heard the old formula was "overly sweet" this one definitely is NOT. It has a subtle sweetness i very much liked. The vanilla flavor was excellent, however, I would have preferred it to be a bit stronger. There was very little "creaminess" to this flavor in my opinion, so if the "creminess" existed in the old "ice cream" formula, they must have taken it out of this one. The vapor production was excellent in my opinion, really excellent. Throat hit, not so much, but still acceptable. Also, there was a very, very faint, shall I say, "minty" aftertaste, that I was actually fond of. I mentioned before that I wished the vanilla flavor was stronger, the reason I said this was that the Vanilla flavor was "Genuine" and Natural. I've tasted other vanilla's and they have a "generic imitation Vanilla extract from the local Weis Market" flavor to them. This actually tasted like they used real Madagascaran vanilla beans(which is why I would have like to taste more of it.
I don't know if I would vape this constanly all day, but i willorder this again if only to mix it with a variety of other flavors. (I'm currently vaping a mix of JC French Vanilla and RY4 from eliquidplanet - and let me tell ya, it's out of this world)
Well there you have it.

I received Summer Peach a couple days ago, and wasn't impressed. It's "OK" but not "great". I never had the peach cobbler, so I can't compare to it, but the peach I have seems a bit weak on flavor.

I'd also have to say that I like the old Tenn Cured better than the new one, but adding a few drops of Lorann Caramel to the new TC seems to make it more like the old recipe.

I ordered the normal PG.

Ok Dave, I finally tried the infamous "summer peach" and here is my review. Remember, i got the 18mg, reduced PG sampler. Ok, Summer Peach. I'de heard such great things about the old foirmula peach cobbler but , again, never tried it myself. However, I was expecting the new formula to retain the cobbler essence. Now when I think of peach cobbler, I think, peach with cinnamon caramel crumbles and perhaps some vanilla ice cream on top. Let's just say the new "summer peach" formula is "cobbler-less". No caramel, no cinnamon, perhaps a slight vanilla, but definitely not what I call cobbler. So when they say "summer peach" that's what they mean, nothing else. As peach goes, they got it pretty good. Good peach flavor, although again, as with the french vanilla, I would have preferred the flavor to be a bit stronger.(It seems with this new formulation series, subtle on the flavor is the way they went). There is a slight vanilla tone to the flavor as well that I liked. Vapor production, again, as with French Van, was excellent. Throat hit, again, not so much. Another mysterious thing- that mint aftertaste I referenced in the french Van review was also apparent in summer peach. I've refined the term mint, however. It's not so much mint, it's more like"camphor", very slight aftertaste, but definitely there in both flavors. I'm going to venture a guess and say that the camphor aftertase is coming from whatever they put in the new formulation to compensate for the removal of the tobacco essences they took out. I could be wrong about that though. So there you have it, summer peach, I liked it(would've liked it more had it been more flavorful). If all your looking for is good, subtle natural peach flavor, you should like it as well. If your looking for a strong peach flavor with alot of throat hit, stay away. Also, if your looking for cobbler, you're not gonna find it here.

I was curious about the size of the samples bottles myself, so I emailed them and asked about it. There response was...

"The sample pack contains 10 bottles of about 3.67mL each. The actual measurement of the bottles is called a fluidram. That brings the total amount of juice in a sample pack to 36.7 mL, which isn't a bad deal at all!

There is no way that those vials are Fluid dram vials. A fluid dram is 1/8 Fluid ounce(I'm a pharmacist, so I deal with these quantities on a regular basis). I measured each vial I got with the Terumo syringe(which are extremely accurate) I got From JC, and the vials contained , on average, 2.5 to 2.7 ml's each. I have started a whole other thread discussing this. In any case, JC should definitely LIST the amount on their website, or at least give some sort of visual reference base in the picture of the sample pack.

I ordered Strawberry, Peach and Tenn Cured after the new formulations came out and the aftertaste with all of them has that same characteristic. I would describe it as a petroleum taste, like light lubricating oil.

Tenn Cured was my favorite juice of all, and I'm very disappointed in the new version. I will not be ordering any more of this new product.

I'm glad someone else noticed that aftertaste. I also concur with you, the old formulation JC Tenn Cured was awesome. New version pales in comparison. What a shame.
