I am estatic to report no analog since January 7th! I picked up TONS of great info on this forum- thanks so much- and now have been using a Joye 510 instead of a pack and a half of friend repellents/ cancer sticks a day.
I can't find, however, these questions and answers:
1)How many times can I refill a carto? Until it quits "putting out"?
2)Can I buy the fuzzy filler that goes in the atomizer type cartriges? Fish filter floss melted and tasted nasty much sooner than the factory sent stuff.
3)Why is the performance so much more consistent with the cartridges than the cartomizers?
4)How long is the life expectancy of an atomizer?
5)Is there a car charger available for the 510? I buy from anycigarette.com and do not see one.
6) Anybody have any advice for a travel case for my 510 and acoutrements such as e liquid bottle?

That's a start, don't want to wear out my welcome:laugh:
Thanks for your help- vape ON!!

Cheryl, Congrats on almost 2 months.

1. No idea, but they're cheap enough to not worry too much.
2. The "fuzzy filler" is just polyester fiber fill. I used to to replace the packing in cartridges before switching to a drip-tip.
3. No idea again.
4. I still have the first attys I bought over a year ago, and only one has failed. Results may not be typical.
5. A passthrough and usb cigarette lighter adapter would work great.
6. Look at a pcc. Carry a few cartos and charge your batt a few times.

1) if you do not run a carto dry (which can singe the stuffing and ruin it) you MAY be able to get days or even a week out of a carto. I keep mine damp with juice and I try to straighten the center air channel if it gets crooked and blocks air flow. I can get 4 days to 2 weeks out of a carto. That is actually 8 days to 4 weeks for me because I vape 2 different cartos during the week.

2) Use blue foam for cart stuffing for carts when the white stuff gets old and cranky (not cartos - you can't replace carto stuffing). For 510 try the cheap cheap precut pieces at strictlyejuice.com. You can also cut blue foam for smaller carts out of that. or for 10x the price buy the bulk which is marineland rite-size u foam sleeve from Petsmart aquarium dept.

3) I disagree. It may take some carto internal attys a bit longer to warm up since they are surrounded by juice, or longer to warm up when older and gunked up a bit. But I use manual batteries so I just hold the button longer before starting my drag (like 1.5 seconds instead or .5 or 1). What I like about cartos is I can get fat drag after fat drag and not have to add juice for a while. And it is also unlikely to dump a bunch of juice in my mouth.

4) Unknown - 1 use to months - depends on the quality of that particular atomizer and how you treat it

5) probably. I do not buy there. I buy at LiteCigUSA.net usually

6) One person uses a small darts case with netting-covered compartments on the inner sides. Or look in Kmart and Walmart for small cosmetics cases, zippered wallets, etc. I use a PCC for a battery and carts and a 306 atty and cart (more compact than 510 atty and cart). Everything else goes in my sweatshirt cardigan pocket for now. I will have to rethink that when it gets warm.
