Yes it will heat faster, but the real difference is the ohms will double, if you don't change the other two coils. Multiple coils, whether two or six, need to be as close to identical as possible. Moreover, parallel resistances divide. A simple example is, two 1-ohm coils in parallel combine for .5 ohms. So, whatever the resistance was in the quad, it was 4 times the total resistance of the atomizer. To make a .5 ohm, quad coil atty, you'd need 4 x 2-ohm coils in parallel. Thus, if you take two of them out, instead of a .5 ohm atomizer, you'd have a 1 ohm atomizer. If that's not clear, sing out and I'll try again. This is pretty important.

Hi, Kane, and welcome to ECF! An easy way to see the difference in resistance (ohms) is to put a quad coil on an ohm meter, take out two parallel coils, and then put it back on the ohm meter. You will see that the resistance is twice what it was. Understanding resistance is critical to safe vaping, so please keep asking and reading until it makes sense!
