Does the amount of coils drain battery faster?

As of now, my two favorite builds on my Ithaka are dual coiled 32 awg and quad coiled 32 awg. Both builds I use come out to roughly .8 ohms (I use about 2/3 wrap with dual and 5/6 wrap with quad). I haven't really paid any attention to the amount of time I use each battery before I swap them, which is why I have this question.

What affects how fast the battery is drained? Resistance, amount of coils/wraps? etc?

EDIT: I'm using a mechanical mod.

0.8 ohms at 3.8 volts is 4.75 amps, which means the power you are using on both setups will be 18 watts. Both setups will flatten a 2600 mAh battery in around 8 minutes vape time, give or take a bit because the discharge voltage is changing while you vape.

Only if you change the total resistance will the discharge time change.

Thanks everyone! So if I understand this correctly, basically the overall resistance of the atomizer is what determines how fast the battery is drained.

Thanks for the detail @fabricator, that's very surprising that I only have 8 minutes. I'll have to learn how to figure that out!

That's actual button-on time. That's quite bit, considering how much current you are drawing.

2600mAh is 2.6Ah, or 2.6 amps for an hour. You are drawing nearly 5 amps. OK, my maths was off - must have confused myself. In real life though, because of the high current drain you're going to get variables like temperature and discharge curves that aren't ideal. Hi performance batteries tend to have a very good discharge curve when they are fresh, but die quicker. The only way to know for sure would be to plot the discharge over time, which probably isn't worth the time and effort.

Just enjoy the vape. :)
