Quad coils on a VV/VW mod

Let me start by making it clear that I don't intend to try this for a while as I am new to rebuildables but....

Is there any way to build a quad coil that will fire on a vv/vw device (in my case a sigelei zmax v5)?

yes, but they would be some huge coils.

I personally wouldn't go any lower than 1.2 Ohm on a VV/VW mod. Which also means each coil connected in quad (paralel) has to be at least 4.8 Ohm. It's just why bother with a quad or even double when a properly built single microcoil can blow your socks off?!

Nope.

Duals are stretch on VV/VW unless you have a DNA20 mod. Even then duals are better suited for a mech with a high drain 18650. On a zmax quad aint gonna happen.

A 1.2ohm dual coil of 30g takes forever to heat up on my Vamo V3. The 10 second cut-off also becomes an issue. It just isn't very practical really. More hassle than it's worth, IMO.

Sure, it just depends how you build them. There's little reason to do it though. The point of quad coils is to get very very low resistance, which you don't need to do on VV/VW.

I'm currently running a dual 30ga, 14 wrap, 2.8Ω coils which equal to 1.4Ω combined. It takes a while to fully heat up on my provari set at the maximum voltage (4.6). I don't think it will handle a quad very well.

Yes it is, unfortunately, I haven't driven it in months.

Nice! I wanted to get one a few years ago but ended up with a speed 3. I wish mazda would bring the speed 6 back. Sorry for the OT guys.

Before the MS6, I had a speed3 until it met an untimely demise, I miss it.
