Here's another tip:
Filling cartomizers: For my '808 cartomizers, I tend just to drip a few drops at a time into the mouth end of the carto, then gently do the Terran spin (which amounts to putting the carto into a narrow bag, like a '808 battery bag, then spinning it to centrifuge the liquid down into the coil and wick). However, for the dualies and higher-capacity cartos, this can be messy, takes a long time and is frankly a bad solution.
This may be why CCV includes a syringe and needle with every combo pack of cartos he sells. I didn't like syringe filling the first times I tried it...because I was doing it *wrong.* I was trying to suck up the e-liquid through the end of the needle. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
What you do is pull the plunger completely out of the syringe, then drip 30-40 drops of e-liquid directly into the syringe. You can minimize mess while dripping in the liquid by inserting the needle into the carto first; that way, if the syringe starts to leak fluid through the needle, the filler in the carto will catch it.
Once you have the syringe filled with 30-40 drops, gently reinsert the plunger into the syringe. "Anoint" a little e-liquid at multiple levels in the carto filler, out near the case (circumference), not down the middle! Be sure to put the lion's share of the juice low (close to the coil(s)/wick), then slowly pull the needle up and out as you push the plunger into the syringe.
Since I started regularly using this method, my cartos hold a bunch more liquid, vape more completely and evenly, and don't go dry as quickly. It's amazing to me how much liquid some of these cartomizers can hold; one model that Andrew at CCV sells holds over 3 ml. of juice...that's a lot.
So while we're discussing high capacity batteries for your Foxy box, let's not forget cartos which can hold a load of liquid. I am reminded of this, because my carto full of Cinnamint is no longer full, and I need to refill.
Now for my question to Steve: I am having some trouble with my 3.7 FBM, but I thing (again) I might be doing something wrong in charging the batteries. I mean, after all you charge two batteries at a time, and I am trying to discharge both in the pair evenly, but so far I've had numerous recent failed fires with the 3.7 volt box? I dunno what I'm doing here, isn't it obvious? Any ideas? Can the batteries be charged individually, or do they have to be charged in pairs? Thanks.
BTW, Stunning tree photos, my man. <wink>
