Well, i've gone through my second battery in less than 48 hours of owning my 3.7 box. I was thinking that these 900mAH batteries would last at least as long as my 750mAH Rivas. I'm using the same 2.0 Boge cartos as I've used from day one on the Riva, so I'm guessing that maybe the protection circuit window is just tighter on these? I don't have the instruction sheets that Godzilla sent in front of me at the moment, but I seem to remember something about them shutting down at 3.2 or 3.4V. I have no idea how low the Riva batteries will go.

This is absolutely not a complaint, I really do like this little mod A LOT!! Just more of a curiosity thing.

Anyway, my real question is about recharging;

Is it OK for me to charge both of these batteries, in the charger that Godzilla sent, at the same time? I keep reading about charging only "balanced" batteries together, unless the charger has seperate circuits, so would the fact that they've both been discharged to their shut-off voltage be close enough to being balanced?
I don't have a multi-meter yet, so I can't check the voltage, at the moment.

Isnt' the orange GRAND? :toast: I haven't put the 5v down since I got it..I just LOVE IT!!!

I received my 2nd 5 Volt Box Mod in the mail, today! I've owned my 1st one for over a month and it has performed flawlessly! It has a blue LED and, well, I just decided I needed an orange LED, Too!

In my opinion, these Mods are the best value on the market. Thanks for a great product and customer service, Steve!

If you are using a 3.7 with only one battery (which you are) I recommend charging them separately. You will notice charging 1 takes half the time and charging 2. I have not tested them charging both at the same time, but maybe someone else can offer assistance. I have heard the red and black trust fire batteries last a little longer than the gray ultra fires I include (I chose the ultra fires because they were slightly more expensive, and figured they were better quality)

You may be right about the protection circuit being tighter. Perhaps your draws are a little longer, I dont know.

Glad you are enjoying it.

Having a multi meter is worth its weight in gold, IMO. It takes the guess work out of a lot of things. testing cartos and attys, and testing your batteries before and after charge.

I had one battery I am using in my personal box, that showed zero for voltage, which I found odd, so I popped it in the charger, and the light stayed green. I took it out, and popped it back in the charger, and that must have reset the circuit, because I got a full charge out of it.

Hope this info helps.

Took the kids for a bike ride, now that they are both riding without training wheels. 80 degrees out, fed stale bread and crackers to the farm animals at a local preschool. Pretty cool that the feeding area for the animals backs up to the regional bike path. Gave Mrs. Godzilla a nap today. Gonna get started on buiding some mods as soon as the Sharks Redwings game is over. Heck of a game!
