For those of you that do not have a multi-meter, I would suggest you pick up one. There are some links a few pages back in this thread on where to get them very inexpensively. I have heard harbor freight has them for a good price, and I think the link on this thread was on ebay. You should expect to pay anywhere from about $7 to around $20.

Here is a quick video on how to check the ohm rating of an atomizer or cartomizer.

All orders from last night and today are built, and am just waiting on the JB weld to cure overnight before packaging . I sent out one invoice tonight, and will look for payment in the morning. Also, have one other invoice I am waiting for payment on, but your mods are built. These will ship tomorrow, so some of you should have your mods on Wed, and the rest on Thursday.

I have some mods that are built already, including LED, so I will be listing those for sale sometime in the morning. These can be shipped out same day. I will try to get them up so folks have a chance to purchase, to ship in the afternoon.

I am going to bed, but get to sleep in :) The wife took the kids for a sleep over at Grandma's house.

Cheers

Baby steps Adeline.

If you love the 3.7 all you will need to try the 5 volt is the box and an extra set of batteries :)
Yeah Adeline, Baby steps just like I did. 1st a 5v, then a 3.7, then had to have another 5v... Now I want a variable box. When does it end Steve? Huh? Just tell me... (probably when you pry them from my cold dead hands)

Just wanted to +1 this! Steve is definitely a 10 to deal with in all respects. I'm also available if anyone has questions about these mods or my experience with them.

I want to build an exotic wood, tube style mod, but havent gotten around to designing one. Varivolt seems like the cats meow, but not sure I want to put so much money into one device, and having a friend turn the wood for this would send the vari volt into a much higher price category. I think the extra life 3.7 would be good.

I may come up with a 5 volt for bigger batteries which has been done by others already, but I have another idea I am cooking up.

Hey Steve, any hints on this idea you are cookin up? I like the idea of a tube mod, in a 3.7v using the 14500 batts. I would like something like that to replace my Riva 901 batts when they start failing. Still lovin your 5v box, but really wanting a tube 3.7 now, and coming from you, I know it would be GREAT!:2cool::2cool:

Its going to be at least a couple of weeks, so no poking anyone with hot sharp instruments please.

My buddy will be turning wood on a lathe for this project, but i will get moving and order a couple of 18650 batteries. I do have exact dimensions, so I may be able to make the mold without the battery.

Heading to the post office with 5 priority packages. Would have been six, but one payment did not arrive yet via Paypal. If you got tracking from me, your box mods are being shipped today. Many will arrive Wed, and others should make it by Thurs.

Oh, and the first ones will be made out of manzanita, a gorgeous deep red wood. But remember, I need to focus on what I am doing right now as a first priority, so be patient folks.

Cheers

Oh boy, this is gonna be good Steve. I can wait. I'll bet there will be a fight over the first few tho. Maybe you could number them or serialize them. Like, Hey I got the first one ever made.

Yes it will be round like a tube mod but sliced down the middle after turning it on the lathe. Then we will have to use a router to create space for the battery and switch. Then a few rare earth magnets to hold the two halves together. I will only do 3.7 volts with these. No two will be exactly alike.

omg, sign me up for pre-order, these sound wonderful!!! I'm guessing as word gets out about these, you'll have them all sold before you even make them!

Got my tracking # ... getting excited! Should I use a LR or a reg atty on 5v? Or can I try both and use what I like best?
