Hi Steve

Looks like your growing and doing well. Still linking newbies here. I get some haters for suggesting a mod to a noob but I can give a rat's behind. :)

Good on you for suggesting one of these mods to a noob:2cool: At these prices, a noob couldn't go wrong ordering a 3.7, and a 5v. Unfortunately, to a noob, the mods are an unknown, but then, so is everything else. I guess it's a, if I knew then, what I know now, kind a thing.

Hey Dman, are you interested in a 18650 5v mod? If so, this is still in development stages. The box I will have to use is very large, about the size of 2 decks of cards stacked together.

I will be working on this design, along with a single 18650 3.7 mod for the next couple of days.

The single prototype I am building for a current customer, and same with the dual 18650 in the larger box, that will end up being a VV box using 2 18650 batts. This prototype will be for a current customer.

Let me know what you would be leaning toward, a 3.7, 5v, or variable volt. Keep in mind the VV and 5v will need to house 2 18650, hence the need for a large box.

hey steve -- still enjoying my vv box! But i'm concerned I'm going to tear it up taking the back on and off all the time playing with the wheel :) Would you ever consider putting a tiny hole in the back cover just over the wheel? I was just thinking then a person could just use a little screwdriver or something to make minor adjustments without taking the back on and off all the time.....
You build great stuff!

I am thinking you will not tear it apart, plus, you are going to learn the settings you like for a particular juice, or a particular carto or atty, and you should not need to mess with it much once you figure out those settings. You can just put 2 or 3 dots on the POT wheel, and one on the fixed portion of the wheel, and you will be able to just turn it to the appropriate setting. That being said, I could in fact put a hole on the back cover to gain access easier.

Space is a bit constrained in a 3 AA box, but I will consider your recommendation.

Thanks for the feedback.

no problem -- it's probably just because i'm new to VV -- certainly wasn't trying to imply you should change your ways, since this is a great little device! thanks again

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but as Steve says, you'll probably not need to when you find a sweet spot for whatever juice your vaping. I haven't touched mine in several days now, since I put on a 1.5ohm dual coil. Time will tell.

I really wish I needed an ego. That is a heck of an offer. Have you ever thought of trying to build a box mod?

An adjustment like we have on our cell phones for volume control would be SWEET!
Hey Steve, I'll trade you a slightly used Ego for a 3.7 box.:thumb:

I got to thinking about your post, and it probably is very easy for anyone to drill this hole. You just need to make sure you are measuring exactly where the center of that knob is. And put just a big enough hole for a small phillips to enter. This would be handy while at home, or working at your desk, so you can have a phillips on hand, whereas if you are out and about, you would not need to take your screwdriver with you to make adjustments, just pop the back cover off. Its easy to drill small holes in this plastic if you want to try it your self. Drilling large holes is a different matter all together.

Start your Christmas shopping now. Purchase a FoxyBoxMod for a love one, that you want to see quit smoking analogs. It's the best gift you can get them. I want to see my grandchildren grow up. I want to beat cancer. I want the world to be free of this disease. Whenever you can, donate to the cause.

Pray for me and all that suffer worse with the disease.
