Got the dual coil cartos in and have been trying them out, and I now really like the 2.0 ohm ones. The first thing I learned was I did not let them sit long enough to really soak. I got my first order of KBV juices in on Friday with their standard mix of 60/40 VG/PG. Up until now I have been using PG heavy juices. Even after a couple hours the dual coils didn't vape all that well. Let them sit over night and topped them off and they are running great now.
One of the juices I got was Waffles with syrup and butter with extra butter. Of all the juices I have tried to date, this is now my favorite. So I loaded up a 1.7 LR carto on my KGO, a 3.0 ohm and a 2.0 ohm dual coil for the 5V.
On the KGO, I get an initial hit of waffles and syrup, then the butter kicks in on the backend. Very tasty. Very little TH.
On the 5V with 3.0 ohm, the waffle and syrup aren't as strong and the butter is much more noticeable. Very little TH, but more than the KGO.
On the 5V with 2.0 dual ohm, the waffle and syrup come out more like on the KGO, but the butter mixes in a lot better. Noticeable TH, but it's more like a gentle pat to let you know it's there.
All in all, I'm loving the 2.0 dual ohms. It really brings the flavors together better and lets you experience them all from the get go. And since I'm using 6mg juice now, I lost the TH hit I was getting with the 12mg juice, so the 2.0 ohm dual coil brings some of that back. It's not as strong as when I was using 12mg, but it lets you know it's there. I also was using PG heavy juices which probably added to the TH as well on the 12mg. I think my net order from KBV will kick up the PG a bit more.
I also noticed that with the 2.0 ohm dual coil, the 5V mod will stop driving them sooner than the 3.0 ohm. In fact, switching to the 3.0 ohm will allow me to use it a bit longer before actually needing to recharge the batteries.
All in all, very satisfied with the dual coils.
